MIXTAPE REVIEW: Cliff Po - Its Been Real

Rating : 9/10

Cliff Po, The Harlem MC, delivers a solid, quality project "Its Been Real'
which captures lyrical exercise, precise concepts & innovative ideas.

Though it's not hard to interpret certain messages on"Its Been Real" as a whole , Cliff shows a lot of versatility than most artists out of NYC as of late. Topically, Cliff sticks to what he knows best: struggle, knowledge and…shine. The Intro "The Come Up" reaffirms the Cliff's commitment to realness and money over everything, while highlighting the ample quantities of fake industry insiders & bandwagoners that permeate hip hop.

Cliff continued his money talk on “RKOI,” [Rich Kids On Instagram] where he also showcases his production skills. The song, which was one of the mixtape’s high points, sets up the 420 anthem “Pass Me Da Green” which remakes Percy Miller's classic hit.

Cliff continues painting a picture of skill on songs like “Most High”, "Our Pain “ & "True Religion,” where Real Hip Hop meets Reality.

Overall, "Its Been Real" was a promising glimpse of what’s to come. Although the subject has range, Cliff Po continues to show growth as an artist and producer. He did not venture too far into any new territory this time around but he is strengthening his sound in a way that will almost certainly keep fans anticipating what’s next.
