QuiSoul is taking back the power with her latest EP 4 

OAKLAND, CA – A fresh artist with a fire that can’t be put out, QuiSoul has recently released her latest EP titled “4”. This collection of tracks is undeniably relatable as it talks about taking back your power after a relationship ends badly.  

For QuiSoul, her relationship with music began in church and grew to be something more when she decided to follow in her brother’s footsteps and begin making music of her own. “When I was younger I was singing in a church choir and focusing a lot on that. Four years ago I told my brother, who is a rapper, that I was writing music and that I wanted to do something with that and start releasing tracks. After that, I started to sing with him and feature on some of his songs, really just getting my feet wet with recording and learning more about the business and industry behind it.” 

The name QuiSoul is more than just a catchy title. The artist behind the name went through a life altering experience at the age of 19 that truly opened her eyes. “Once I decided to do music, I felt that I had to be true to my soul. I was actually on Instagram one day and decided that I needed a new handle. I ended up with QuiSoul and my brother asked me, ‘Do you know everything that you’ve been through that you have to express that through your music? That is your artist name. You’re gonna use QuiSoul.’ So I just took him up on it, and here we are today.” 

QuiSoul defines her sound as being a soulful and melodic R&B kind of sound. “I think that I have a really soulful sound, I would say it’s spirit first.” Much of her influence comes from the R&B artists of the 90’s. “I really love India.Arie. As a child growing up, I listened to a lot of her music. I also listened to a lot of Destiny’s Child and Keyshia Cole. I’m really like a 90’s baby, so I really like anything that is 90s as far as R&B and Hip Hop, I’m really just in awe of it.” 

The EP that QuiSoul has recently released is called “4” and it is the journey of taking back your power after dealing with the rough experience of a bad breakup. With four tracks on the EP, each song has its own powerful meaning. “I was sick and tired of not being able to create or have fun while I am trying to understand who I am, so I wrote ‘Shit On My Mind’ just to let the world know that there’s other people that go through the same things as they do. ‘Be On My Way’ is the relationship story. I was in a relationship and was unknowingly the other woman, and he had to tell me that which was really hard. I wrote ‘Hats Off’ as my ego song. It’s a third person perspective of what I really go through on Instagram. It really takes you on a journey through the song. Finally, ‘Out Tonight’ is my wish for the pandemic to end. The idea is just that we have been through a lot and we need to go out.” 

In the future, QuiSoul plans to release more music as well as the music video for “Be On My Way”. Fans can look out for the new album that she is starting to work on and should be excited for what is to come.

Trxppy Almighty shows his unique sound through his latest mixtape ‘Rude Awakening’ 

CHICAGO, IL – With an eccentric sound and the goals of taking on the Hip Hop scene, Trxppy Almighty is truly an artist to keep an eye out for. Recently, he has released his third mixtape, “Rude Awakening”, where he shows off his versatility, his sound and his true talent as a musician.

Trxppy Almighty has always had musical influences in his life, with four uncles who made music in a Rap group which he looked up to and aspired to be like. He started getting into music when he was only in middle school, getting together with friends to create music. “I first started making music when I was in middle school. I had two friends that I had this little Rap group going on with, but I was never able to record anything because I never had the chance to visit a studio back then.  I was always in the process of putting my tracks out there though.” In 2018, he was able to get into music more seriously, starting out in basement studios, releasing tracks on Soundcloud and working his way up to working in professional level studios with engineers and releasing on major platforms.

“I make music that has a deep meaning of value. I can be considered a rapper although I don’t want to only put myself in that category. I would say that my sound is very melodic. I use a lot of melodies if I’m not actually rapping on the beat. Basically, I would consider my sound to be unique melodies and really just changing and developing with whatever my mood is on a given day.”

Drawing from a handful of inspirations and artists that he has a great deal of respect for, Trxppy Almighty has a variety of music that he considers to be important to both artistic growth and his personal life. “My favorite of all time would probably be Lil Wayne. I would try to learn his rhythmic patterns and things like that. I was always studying how he would do his choruses and hooks and I always considered him a really amazing artist. Hearing the way he would play with words and melodies… he was kind of a pillar in terms of rappers to me.”

“Rude Awakening” is Trxppy Almighty’s third and most recent mixtape. It is designed to show off his artistic versatility and skills in a variety of different styles and genres. “I feel like I’ve always been kind of slept on and it is time for people to wake up. Whether they want to hear me or not, there’s no stopping me. They will either hear me or see me somewhere in some form or another. This 14-song project shows off the versatility and the growth and experience in my music. I’m just really proud of our producer Jalil Da God and all of the work we’ve done to get it where we are.” 

Some of Trxppy Almighty’s favorite tracks on the mixtape include “Problem Child,” “Money Talks,” and “Heaven Sent.” The tracks discuss everything from his upbringing in the East side of Chicago to the hardships that he has gone through and the goals that he has for the future.

Mac Nova releases first track after signing with AMG/Sony 

TOLEDO, OH – Having recently signed with his first big recording company, Mac Nova is making a big splash as he breaks into the music scene. With his latest release, “Steal The Sun” coming out in October, he has a new and exciting sound that he is ready to share with the world. 

Mac Nova got into music in his early teens, freestyling and having fun with his friends and family. “I actually got started recording and writing songs on a whim after I freestyled in front of one of my coworkers, Big Steve, in the garage and he pointed me towards a studio. That was about seven years ago.” 

When he was younger, Mac Nova’s mother would not allow him to listen to Rap music. This gave him the opportunity to appreciate a variety of different genres, and he later brought some of those influences into his music. “My mom didn’t actually let me listen to Rap until I was in high school, so I just got a lot of everything but Rap even though that’s what I ended up doing. A few of my main artistic influences are The Fugees, Prince, some Motown artists and Anita Baker, and when I first got my hands on some Rap, I got into  Jay Z and LL at about the same time.” 

With such a wide variety of influences, he is able to create a sound that pulls in different genres and techniques, making the Mac Nova sound unique and rare. “Even though I’m rapping – because that is my main style – Rap is one of the few genres that you can add literally any other genre to.” 

Mac Nova is set to release his latest single “Steal The Sun” in mid-October. “I would say this track is a culmination of my rhetoric as a rapper. I like to think that my style and, more importantly, the content of the Rap helps people understand that there is a difference between success and wisdom and just because someone is successful at what they do, doesn’t mean you should follow what they do or what they say to a tee. So, part of my brand as a rapper is that I would like to achieve ‘acclaim,’ if you will, without having to subject myself to some of the things people do to advertise themselves. So instead of walking around with jewelry and things of that nature, I would like to ‘Steal The Sun’ in that respect.” 

Being recently signed with AMG/Sony, “Steal The Sun” will be Mac Nova’s first big release. While he has made enormous strides in his career this year, he believes that he would not be where he is today without the help of his team and his friends, especially his manager Debra Sue of Glass City Talent, his first producer CJ Mack, and his current producer, Wade from Guerilla Studios, as well as a host of other family, friends and fans who have supported him in his artistic endeavors.

BOSTON, MA – Newly added to the Bentley Records family, King Supreme Da Don is a Hip Hop artist worth looking out for. With his latest EP single “W.F.T.G.U.” coming out on October 21, KSDD shows artistry and talent through a track that can get stuck in your head, exactly where you want it to be. 

Growing up, KSDD was always invested in music. “I got into music at a young age. I always had a strong passion for music especially when I was growing up. Now that I make music of my own, I would say that I have a more creative sound. I think I would label it more as Hip Hop music rather than Trap.” 

The name King Supreme Da Don has a very significant meaning. “Growing up over the years, I had a few different names and I stuck with King Supreme Da Don because I had a name before, L- Supreme Tha Boss. I took part of the name of Supreme from my father who actually made music of his own back in the day. So I took part of Supreme and I added King in front of it because I believe that everyone deserves to be a king or queen. I have always said that however you see yourself fit to be, then that is who you are, so that is what I stuck with. My goal is to do everything possible to live up to that. I am always going to be a king, my wife will always be my queen, and everyone out there was born to be a king or a queen too.”  

KSDD has a few core inspirations. He takes a lot of influence from artists such as Tupac, but is mainly inspired as a musician by his family. “I take a lot of inspiration from Tupac because he is such an important artist to me. But right now I would say that my greatest inspiration and my motivation as a musician comes from my children and my wife.” 

The track “W.F.T.G.U.” is a song about the obstacles that KSDD has had to overcome and the way that he has been able to make it through. “This single is about all of the struggles that I have been through and how I came out on the other side. The entire EP goes along with it as an outlining of what I am capable of doing as an artist. It really talks about me aiming for what I want and proving that I am able to keep up with everyone else. It also talks about how I am always going to be trying to provide for my family, no matter what.” 

Along with his musical ventures, KSDD and his wife are doing all that they can to help other artists to have the same opportunities that KSDD had with their new label New Age Limit Records. “My goal is to build a foundation that will strive to be the best that it can be. My wife and I started this company under the principle of helping artists that are struggling and giving them a chance to build a basis right here in Massachusetts.”

A song of pure beauty, Yung Gli$t releases latest single ‘Kiyomi’ 

COLUMBUS, OH – An up and coming artist with the goal to inspire those around him, Yung Gli$t is bringing his music to the people with a sound that is truly his own. His latest single, “Kiyomi,” is only one of his many steps to becoming a top name in the Hip Hop industry. 

Music came naturally to Yung Gli$t, growing up in a household that was always full of new sound. “I used to just like music when I was growing up. It came naturally. My mom would always be playing music usually artists like Nas. And as I got used to hearing music like that, music started to become a bigger and bigger part of my life.” 

Much of Yung Gli$t’s influences come from artists like Tupac, but he also pulls a lot of inspiration from his family. “My father passed away when I was younger and I draw a lot of inspiration from him because he made music before I was born.”  

Yung Gli$t’s sound is a unique blend of Hip Hop. “I would say my sound is a little bit futuristic. My music sounds like the kind of thing where you can’t just go out and replicate it. I don’t think anyone is doing the exact same thing as me. You have to listen to my music to get that certain sound because I have a different kind of delivery of my lyrics. I have a unique sound.” 

“Kiyomi,” Yung Gli$t’s latest single is quite literally named after pure beauty. “When I started this song, I knew it was going to be important. The reason I named it “Kiyomi” is that Kiyomi actually means “Pure Beauty” and I named it that because it was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard the beat for the first time. One of the inspirations for the lyrics of this song was actually my baby’s mother. We had a little bit of a problem and we were in the middle of a scramble before I started working on the lyrics. I think that played into what came out of that session a bit.” 

“My main goal as a musician is to get good music out there. I want to work on getting more of a following and expand my social media, especially Twitter. I really just want to be someone who inspires others. I want to show them that they can do it.” Yung Gli$t grew up in an area where there is an abundance of creativity, but not enough love for other’s art. He hopes in great part to inspire the people of Columbus to see that there is room for everyone to do what they love.  

Along with his ventures as a musician, Yung Gli$t is focused on fashion. He hopes to help inspire more people to express themselves through their appearance. 

Yung Gli$t is working to put out more music in the coming year, including an album that is currently in the works. As of right now, the music video for “Kiyomi” will be coming out soon and will be an exciting thing to look forward to.

Living legends combine master-level skills for truly original album ‘Red Giant Project’ 

SAN DIEGO, CA – The ultimate collaboration of musicians who are masters at their craft comes together with an deeper progressive new sound on a new LP called “Red Giant Project.” Spearheaded by Matthew Burke AKA Burkey and sound-designed by Matt Madonna, the project features an array of living legend instrumentalists in Karl Denson, Tah Rei, John Avery, Shane Hall, Tre Aces, and Lynx DeMuth. The juxtaposition of vocalists Burkey and Hall, who also plays guitar on some tracks, combines for a human element that weaves tastefully through the music in ways that never distract from the full scope of the production.  

“Beauty is the intention,” Burkey said. “This project could be called R&B and Blues pumped up on bass music. Or it could just as easily be labeled as Americana, or Neo-Soul Trap, or even Lofi-Trip-Hop-Downtempo. It’s ambient poetry with strong hooks and vocal synths that dance through gritty, analog sound. And it’s done by all of these people who are masters of their craft, and then blended together by Matt. It’s something really incredible.” 

Madonna and Burkey met some years back while touring with different EDM projects. Madonna was with Love & Light while Burkey spent about a decade with Vokab Kompany. The two would often bump into each other at festivals or on the tour circuit, and sometimes they’d bounce ideas off each other or even play around with different sounds or write songs together. Both of them were doing songs that were high-energy, club-based EDM music upwards of 120 beats per minute and higher. So their collaborations backstage tended to be slower and more ambient, exploring different ways to incorporate the sounds they’d become familiar with into more downtempo and relaxed vibes. Madonna eventually retired ‘Love & Light’ while Burkey continued with Vokab Kompany, and the two of them kept in touch.  

In 2016, Burkey had the opportunity to start working with Karl Denson who is a legendary sax player best known for his work with The Rolling Stones, KDTU, and Greyboy Allstars. He’s even featured with the band Sexual Chocolate in the iconic Eddie Murphy comedy “Coming to America.” When Madonna heard that Burkey was working with Denson, he sent them a beat he’d been working on at home, and Denson was so impressed that it sparked an idea from Burkey.  

“The whole process created a whole pure vibe,” Burkey said. “We’d all gotten older and didn’t fit that party scene anymore, and our songwriting had taken on a deeper aspect – from the chords to the sound design to the lyricism and everything in between. Matt had become the ultimate sound designer. He can spend days on end just making a sound, and he’ll create his own sounds. He’ll spend a 20-hour session searching for the best kick drum, manipulating 200 different kinds of drums until he’s found that best sound. So he was the perfect person to blend all of the things that these masters at their craft were bringing to the table.” 

Burkey said the collaboration has been so overwhelmingly positive that the two friends have decided to pursue more projects in the future. He said they have the first record focusing more on a Neo-Soul, Jazz vibe with Blues guitar and swaggy Hip-Hop–esque vocals. And like a Red Giant star that burns at its brightest in its later stages of life, the “Red Giant Project” showcases the bright burning talent of these veteran artists in a way that cannot and should not be ignored.

Two West Coast artists join forces for creative new album ‘ApoSTGles’ 

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – An impressive blend of Rap, Hip Hop, Jazzy Blues and R&B swag makes its way to the center stage on a new album from West Coast artists Adonis Alias SoupBone and M.E. NotApologetic. Set to release in December, “ApoSTGles” is the ultimate culmination of this super collaboration between two artists who have been making waves in the industry for years. Across six songs, the duo lets the world know that it’s OK to party, but there’s also real issues in life that have to be dealt with and sometimes you gotta step up. Each of them came up with concepts for three of the songs, then worked together seamlessly to create the final product – tapping deeply into each other’s talents and ideas.  

“It’s two brothers coming together and showcasing our skills together,” Adonis said. “It’s us complementing each other’s talents and ideas. We’re talking about positives, not using any profanity and ultimately, it’s all about the music.” 

The debut single from the project is “Sir Paul” and is slated to release across all streaming platforms on Oct. 16. It’s a song that pays tribute to one of the most influential musicians of all time: Paul McCartney. “Sir Paul” is presented with an eye-popping video filmed by acclaimed and award-winning director Jae Synth. Throughout the song, Adonis and M.E. incorporate lyrics and titles from McCartney’s most successful songs and albums, and ultimately use the icon as a metaphor for achieving one’s dreams. 

“If there’s any chance Paul could hear this, I think he’d appreciate it more than anybody,” Adonis said. “There’s no other musician who has transcended the time period he has with quality music. That’s the key. I try to write timeless material, just like he did, and I don’t try to go with the current trend.” 

The beat originally came to M.E. through a mutual acquaintance producer named No Shenanigans, who said she wrote the beat specifically for M.E.’s signature style. It’s a beat that M.E. calls a little bit gritty and hard-hitting. But when M.E. couldn’t come up with a lyrical idea that really stuck, he passed it along to his friend Adonis for help.  

“I passed it along to my bro and he came up with this idea,” M.E. said. “That’s how we always work. We come up with creative ideas and then pass them back and forth to each other until we make something great. With this song, not only are we doing an homage for Paul, but at the same time it shows that you don’t have to stay the same musician throughout your entire career. He stepped away from the Beatles and did what he wanted to do, and he’s made a lot of great music.” 

“Sir Paul” will be followed by “My Queen”, the scheduled second single slated to drop in November. With “My Queen,” the two musicians tap into their R&B side with a song made for the ladies. Adonis said it’s an “encouragement song that’s uplifting for women and encourages men to support their women.” A music video is in the works and should release on Nov. 10. 

“Party All Night” is the third release and it is a definitive club song with a hard, heavy, Hip Hop and Rap feel that showcases the duo’s ability to flow.

LOS ANGELES, CA- Hip Hop artist KUNAL is a burgeoning force on the horizon. He is a product of global influences. Spending his childhood in New York, New Jersey and London – and paired with his Punjabi heritage – there is no succinct way to describe his craftsmanship. “When I moved to LA five years ago, I had no idea I was going to make music,” KUNAL said. “I was open to many different possibilities and I knew that I loved entertaining – from music and film to all kinds of artistic expression. But I was open to whatever LA was going to provide me. The pandemic has created an opportunity to put time and attention to music, and these singles have been a primer for more of what’s to come.”

Fans have described “Angelic & Devilish” as something reminiscent of a Nas-meets-Travis Scott vibe, highlighting that KUNAL’s sound cannot be put into a box or category that has ever been heard before. The sound appeals to fans of all ages because of the eclectic 90’s Hip Hop feel, he said, combined with upbeat and fun melodies from current decades of music. “We’re all both angelic and devilish in some way,” he said. “For me, it was a song that was very reflective personally, and as such, it was a really fun song for me to work on.”

With “Feelin’ Good,” KUNAL brings in a modern effect that calls attention to yet another aspect of his personality. The fun upbeat pace is fitting for a night out but is also perfectly suited to kicking back with friends. It’s an anthem for anyone who fully embraces who they are despite what others think or say about them.

“In the chorus I said, ‘I’m pouring out a drink, sending love to all the different places that played a role in who I am and shaped who I am,’” KUNAL said. “Then it goes on to say that I don’t care if you don’t understand me or I don’t fit into your box. I’m feeling good and I’m doing good and I’m OK with who I am, and so here’s a couple of nuggets of who I am and some of the things I care about. It was fun finding the sound and style for this song because the production was completely different than anything else I’d ever done, but it was still me. It gave me a chance to explore a different side of me and explore my range, and I think people will have fun with it, too.”

J3 The Rap Vigilante – Who Want It

J3 The Rap Vigilante displays diversity across seven tracks on new EP ‘Nocturnal II’

 ATLANTA, GA – When it comes to bringing variety to today’s music scene, Hip Hop artist J3 The Rap Vigilante is like a chameleon. He’s got conscious Rap, real, mellow, aggressive, and everything in between. In other words, he can’t be put in a box. But more than that, his unique sound and style brings out the best in people and provides a thrill ride that cannot be beat.

 This originality and energy is put on full display with his latest EP “Nocturnal II.” It’s the second half of an EP of the same name that he released about a year ago, and its seven tracks continue to explore the journey of this fast-rising young talent from the South. 

 “It’s picking up right where I left off,” J3 said. “It’s me taking control of what I want to do as far as music goes. Coming up in Atlanta, people can get used to a certain sound that’s popular, but I choose to stay in my lane and do my own thing. That’s what I want to be is true to myself. That said, you can hear the growth from the first EP now. I always go off the beat and I can fit in anywhere. So there are some aggressive songs, some mellow tracks, some soulful, some conscious, and a lot of different vibes. I feel like people should be able to relate to it.”

 The debut single from the project is a song called “Who Want It”. Working in collaboration with his brother, fellow artist Point Oh, J3 brings about an aggressive in-your-face track that shows why he goes by the name Rap Vigilante. 

 “Sometimes you gotta let people know,” he said. “That’s what this song is about. I’m the Rap Vigilante because I’m not gonna try to fit in and do things for other people. I’m gonna do it for myself. I make music for people in the process of finding their own path. I found a path that was best for me and when I can reach people with that kind of mentality, then the sky’s the limit.”

Timely message takes center stage on new album from Hellagreeno

COLUMBUS, OH – If there’s one thing people in 2020 need, it’s motivation that they can overcome any obstacle in life. That’s the message that comes front and center with the new album from Ohio-based artist Hellagreeno. “Mr. Relentless: An Underdog Story” is a 10-song blast of energy that’s all about overcoming obstacles and not letting anything stop you from achieving the goals you’ve established.  

“There are a lot of distractions that keep you from staying focused, but you’ve gotta be relentless,” Hellagreeno said. “I’ve been through a lot to make it to this point. When I first started out, I said I’m gonna make hella money and I’m gonna smoke hella weed. More than that though, I want to make real music that everyone can relate to and just make great music. All of that is starting to come true, and I want to share that story with others to show them that it can be done if you’re relentless.” 

Currently available across all streaming platforms, “Mr. Relentless: An Underdog Story” features Hellagreeno’s signature style that taps into his Down South vibes while also showcasing an adept flow for any beat that comes his way. In his words, he just “gives the beat what it wants.”  

“I just go with the flow,” he said. “If it’s a catchy, Down South beat, I might come with a Down South type of flow. If it’s an East Coast beat, I might come out really lyrically. I can get real fun, too. But it’ll still be Hellagreeno no matter what.” 

Two singles from the project showcase this unique style particularly well. “Earned Stripes” is an upbeat, catchy vibe that listeners will be hard-pressed to get out of their ears even weeks and months after first listening. True to its name, the song talks about all the experiences that have led to where Hellagreeno is today – from walking with his wife through beating cancer, to betrayals from friends, and everything in between. It’s a song that he said gives listeners a message while at the same time keeping them moving to the beat.  

The other standout single from the album is “Life Lessons,” featuring Rich Regal from Lancaster, Ohio. The two artists linked up after being invited by Ty Wheels to put together a cypher at his studio. 

“We linked up and made a real song about how we grew up,” Hellagreeno said. “It’s one of those songs that just felt good making. We decided to call it ‘Life Lessons’ because we wrote our verses at the same time even though we weren’t together, and we both kind of came up with similar ideas. And when we put it together, it just felt like a real song – like one of them survival songs. It’s got a nice little country twang to it, with guitars going through the beat. Overall, it has a nice little vibe to it.” 

Hellagreeno said that though he’s released a lot of music over the years, this is the first time he’s released a full album and he’s excited to see how far it could take him toward making that next step up in his career as a musician. He said he already has plans for more music in 2021.

So. Florida artist, Money Mak1n’ Mitch calls out the phoneys with new single “No Fake$” 

ATLANTA, GA – Songwriter and rapper Mitchell Butler, known by his professional name Money Mak1n’ Mitch, has his ear to the streets. His music talks about what is going on with life in general and he is building those life experiences into his music. 

Dropping early this month, his hot new single, “No Fake$” warns about the different types of people one encounters particularly while navigating through the music business. You have to be on the lookout for fake, two faced people who smile in your face, but have other foul intentions. Recorded at Loud House Studios in Atlanta, the track showcases Mitch’s authentic sound and clearly defined message. While not simplistic, his lyrics and flow are easy to follow. The song is also relatable, discussing something that an average person will typically go through. “No matter who you are or where you are,” Mitch said, “you’re going to experience some shady people and shady experiences through your life.” 

Released in 2018, the previous single from Money Mak1n’ Mitch was the braggadocious track, “TOLDJA.” On the way up, you can look back at the people who did not believe in your business or hustle to tell them “I told you that I was going to be in this position!” While “TOLDJA” conveys a strong “Look at me now!” attitude, the new single, “No Fake$” is more contemplative. The artist talks about being able to see false people with bad intentions, and he knows that he doesn’t want them around him. 

A recording artist originally from Dade and Broward Counties in Florida, Money Mak1n’ Mitch is now based in Atlanta. He is also the CEO of the BallGame Entertainment label. Mitch stands firm and grounded as a person and an artist whose writing process involves real life experiences, whether his own or those he has observed in depth. Always entertaining, Mitch is bringing home relatable issues and topics.

THE REAL MACK – BIG LIT

The Real Mack returns to music after a two-year hiatus with hard-hitting single ‘Big Lit’ 

PHILADEPHIA, PA – The number 25 has been a monumentally impactful number in the life of young Philadelphia artist The Real Mack … but not always in the most positive of ways. When he was young, his mother was murdered when she was only 25 years old. He and his brother had a rough childhood after that with a father who was incarcerated multiple times. Then when his brother was 25, he too, was murdered. It became almost too much for him to bear, and he turned away from music and any other form of artistic expression while battling demons of depression and anxiety. But as his own 25th birthday approached, he chose to look at it as a new opportunity – a chance to change the negative cycle and create something positive. 

Out of that mission came the new album “25” which is dedicated to his mother and brother, “25” explores the strange coincidences and otherworldly experiences that have come in his life and how often those things are associated with the number 25. 

“It’s kind of a scary thing for me being 25 right now,” he said. “That’s what this album is about. It’s more personal than anything I’ve ever recorded. There are some commercial songs on there but mostly, it’s very personal. I think it shows off my versatility, too. I can drop a song and it can be either the artist side of me or the raw Rap side of me. I can make a song where I’m singing and it’s completely R&B and Soul, or I can turn around and make a complete opposite song that’s Trap or Hip Hop or Club.” 

The Real Mack said he first got his start in music when a friend of his started a Rap group in 2009. Although Mack wasn’t included in that group, it motivated him to want to pursue music. He would go on to record a song called “Cam Newton” that got the attention of another Philly artist named PnB Rock, and their ensuing collaboration went on to rake in more than 1.5 million streams. It wasn’t long after that when his brother was murdered however, and Mack took a two-year hiatus from music. But now, at age 25, he’s making a return with the new album – starting with the hard-hitting debut single “Big Lit,” which is now available on all streaming platforms.

 

“It’s a Club record with an Up North but Down South kind of vibe,” Mack said. “I’m an Up North person but it has a Down South vibe, if you get what I mean. There’s a lot of energy, and I’m just basically talking about me being that guy. I’m being that bull, that dude, that big fish from the big six. I’m a big dog from 26th Street in South Philly, and this is the kind of song that when you’re lit, you get turnt up. It’s heavy.”

 

Mack said he hopes fans will appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating the EP, and that he becomes known all around the world for being a high-quality hit maker.
