Smurf G - Holiday

Smurf G - Holiday

Sounds of the South take center stage with Smurf G’s new album ‘Arkannibal

FAYETTEVILLE, AR – Smurf G is a native of Camden, a small town in southwest Arkansas, on the banks of the Ouachita River – AKA “Queen City.” Smurf G has been in the Rap game for many years, working the underground circuit, mixtapes, singles, traveling, promoting, and hustling to manifest his vision. His lyrics reverberate a thick southern drawl that is intriguing as well as distinctive. That Deep South style is the cornerstone of the unique sound that Smurf G executes in his lyrically impressive music. His upcoming new album “Arkannibal” is a work of art that will enable Hip Hop fans all over the world to get up close and personal with him and find out what’s going on with this self-proclaimed “country boy” from Arkansas.

“I sound like a ‘country boy,’ just like my hit with Bun B. and Charlie Boy released in 2019 tells you,” Smurg G said. “My sound is original and I’m real with it. I don’t want to sound like anybody else. When you listen to the radio, everybody sounds the same. My southern dialect stands out. It is what it is. And I’m bringing the heat. I’m bringing that fire to your soul. When you hear my music, you’re gonna be like ‘Damn! That’s that dude from Arkansas. He’s straight jamming!’ Arkansas has been overlooked for too long, and it’s our time!”

Smurf G is ready to work with his stylistic contribution to Hip Hop that’s authentically stirring.

“I’m hype and I’m ready to ‘show up and show out,” he said. “The barriers gotta come down. Watch for G Entertainment because Arkansas has so much talent – so many diamonds in the rough. Arkansas’ ready to stand up!”

“Arkannibal” features the single “Holiday,” a show-stopper with a new sound that sets the momentum. The upbeat vibe encourages family, friends and get–togethers, and Smurf G says it’s not restricted to one occasion because it’s an inspirational movement. “Holiday,” he said, provokes everyone to “treat every day like a holiday.”

“You never know what tomorrow may bring, so live everyday like it’s your last,” he said. “Especially in these uncertain times and with all that we are dealing with daily in this season.”

“Go and Get It” is another hit on the album with a pounding beat and lyrics to motivate the listeners to “get up off ya’ ass and go get it by any means necessary … just make sure you’re smart in your mission.”

“Push It,” which features Dallas-based artist Enchanting, is another single from the highly anticipated album that’s best described as a club song with a ton of energy.

“It’s impossible to sit this one out,” Smurf G said.

True to the rhythm of the entire album, this masterpiece magnifies Smurf G’s talent and allows him to continue grinding his way to higher levels as he solidifies his position in the game.

“Arkannibal” is currently available across all streaming platforms, and Smurf G said that he’s working on even more extraordinary music to be released later this year.

.thrax - Like Nana

.thrax – Like Nana

Fast-rising artist from Upstate New York prepares to drop truly original album ‘Social Disconnect’ on Sept 4

SALAMANCA, NY – Talk about starting with a blast! The new artist out of Upstate New York known as .thrax is going to leave the rest of the music industry behind once the world catches a taste of his one-of-a-kind sound. Already his music has gained more than a million streams and more than 100,000 monthly listeners just from his first five singles. And with the release of his forthcoming album “Social Disconnect” on Sept 4, this 21-year-old phenom is set to propel into global stardom.

The Salamanca, New York-native has amazed a wide range of fans so far with his innate ability to create music in a variety of genres – from Indie to Pop to Neo-Soul to Rap and everything in between. “Social Disconnect” showcases that diversity perfectly while also tapping into his unique point of view as a young African-American trying to overcome the stereotypes that are often associated with his demographic and age.

“It’s an album about problems that many people my age face day-to-day,” he said. “But it can also be something that a wide array of people connect with because it’s for anyone who has to work a 9-to-5, or who has family or relationship issues, or even for people who deal with things like addiction or overcoming the stereotypes that so many of us are working against. It’s an album that everyone can relate to.”

The album shows off .thrax’s ability to be vibing melodically but with energy that excites listeners to get up and dance. It’s like he’s tapped into the brooding vibes of Billie Eilish but taken that to another level that is perfect for parties and clubs. His flow is completely different from anything else out there today – with songs that either encourage people to dance or to sit down and vibe out.

Such as his debut single “Creep” to a pre-released single on his album “Like Nana” – show off .thrax’s ability to switch from emotional songs to party songs. “Creep” – which peaked at No. 24 on the Spotify Hong Kong Top 50 playlist – talks about how we all have problems that we don’t want to face, and we try to hide them in our closet but they come out. “Like Nana” encourages the free-spirited youth to dance and to have fun on social media platforms, such as Tik Tok.

“My lyrics have a different vibe and meaning. I’m not talking about luxurious stuff that isn’t realistic. Each song has a vibe or feeling that you will feel deep. In some cases, it won’t be until the fourth or fifth time that you hear it that you’ll actually understand how deep it is. But that’s what I want my music to be known for – that wow factor. People listening to my music should hear the message that they can do anything they put their minds to as long as they don’t let other people push them onto a different plan.”

J-ReeL - Knowledge

J-ReeL - Knowledge

J-Reel pens open and honest letter to fans with new album ‘Reel Musick Vol 2’

KINSTON, NC – J-Reel is the true embodiment of what Hip Hop is all about, and his latest album “Reel Musick Vol 2” is a perfect example of that excellence. Cultivating his passion from an early age, J-Reel found inspiration from artists such as Tupac Shakur and OutKast, and his music today is a reflection of what they stood for. His sound embraces multiple styles – from R&B to up-tempo conscious “hood flow” – which he said displays his deep understanding of the Hip Hop culture as well as his dedication to the raw message coming from the hood.

“With this latest album, the vibe I’m going for is giving people more of my personal life and feelings,” J-Reel said of ‘Reel Musick Vol 2.’ “It’s more of a call to be socially aware than any other project I’ve done before. I’m talking about the climate of what’s going on in America right now with Black Lives Matter and crooked police officers and the everyday mentality of someone coming from the hood. I’m not just showing the drug dealer’s side of that, but rather a side of a person who grows up in it and has a certain mentality because of it. And through that, you can see what sets me apart, which is a sound and a style that is authentic. I’m telling true stories in my music and when I say how I feel, it’s the honest truth. That’s what sets me apart from a lot of other people in the game today.”

Under the Brotherhood Infinity Music label in Kinston, J-Reel has released two mixtapes to date. His previous album, “Reel Musick” was a strong success and has helped launch him to another level of influence within the industry. He said he’s eager for even more fans around the world to see how he uses multiple inspirations – from Nas and Jay-Z to James Brown and the Eisley Brothers – to create truly original sounds with a nod to the greatness that has come before.

“I want my music to be known for being truthful,” he said. “I think a lot of people are afraid to be themselves and to give their real inner feelings. I don’t want people to be afraid to be themselves, regardless of what they’ve been through. I want my music to help them embrace that about themselves. And I want to do it so vividly that when I speak about things, you can picture what I’m saying like it’s a movie reel.”

That ability to paint a picture with words is put on full display with the debut single from the project, “Knowledge.” Featuring fellow Kinston artist J Mar, the song talks about “uplifting the black man, woman and child.” With a more chill and laid-back vibe, the song is crafted intentionally to challenge people to think more deeply and consider how to be proud of one’s heritage without doing anything that might hurt other people.

Another single from the album is also getting a lot of attention. “The Understanding,” featuring Juvon van Gogh, describes J Reel’s fight with his inner demons. With lyrics that explore things like his fear of failure as a father, his struggle with mental issues, or his relationship ups-and-downs with his wife, “The Understanding” becomes a song that many people who hear it will immediately relate to.

“It’s about wanting to be happy but being stressed out,” he said. “It’s about feeling like I’m not good enough but knowing that I can’t give up. It’s giving people an understanding of things I’ve mentally gone through, and I think it’s going to shock a lot of people when they hear it.”

AmgTask - Not Friendly

AmgTask - Not Friendly

AMGTask explores world’s most exotic places with new EP ‘Wicked Times’

ATLANTA, GA – AMGTask has been to some pretty exotic places in his life, and many of those places carry memories of crazy experiences – all of which take center stage with his new EP “Wicked Times.” Due to drop across all streaming platforms in mid-September, this new project from one of Atlanta’s hottest up-and-coming artists is the perfect kind of international vibe to reach a huge global audience.

Each song on the album relates to Task in one way or another, while also painting pictures for listeners to help them feel as if they’re in the midst of his experiences. From Puerto Rico to Las Vegas and Miami, the “Wicked Times” that he describes are a fun-filled ride of adventure across the world.

“It’s basically about the crazy things I’ve been through to get to where I’m at today, while also featuring a lot of exotic places,” Task said. “That will come through even more with the videos we’re doing. In one of the songs, we’re shooting in Puerto Rico and giving it more of an ancient look. I was just in Las Vegas shooting for another video and in Miami for yet another one. I want to give people an experience that they haven’t had before, and when you pair that with the sound I’ve created – with some Rap and melody type of flow – you’ll get a completely different style from anything else out there.”

The debut single, “Not Friendly” is a perfect example of how Task’s original style takes center stage. It pays homage to the Alliance Music Group that he calls family, and especially to Baby D who he said was like a big brother to him. The song introduces the AMG brand and explores the various ways in which the team has evolved and grown closer over the years.

“When I was young, they brought me in under their wings and guided me off the streets into the entertainment industry,” Task said. “They helped me step up my music to another level and get in clubs and do concerts and stuff like that. Since then, we’ve opened up a clothing line called Not Friendly clothing which features five different faces with five different emotions. People can be not friendly in their own way, even the nicest person, and that’s kind of the idea behind the clothing line. It branched out from there to Not Friendly Records. I also have a hair salon I opened up called Not Friendly Salon, and now we’ve moved all the businesses under that Not Friendly umbrella. A lot of people know about Not Friendly in Atlanta, and this song is really about everything that comes with that brand.”

At the end of the day, Task said he hopes he becomes known as an artist who always puts out good music about his life. He said he hopes his music is relatable to a wide range of people all over the world, and by relating to what he has gone through it will inspire them to find ways through their own situations.

“If people see me as a role model who did positive things with his life even when he had to go through similar things to what they’ve gone through, that would be awesome,” Task said. “I want them to hear the feeling behind it and feel it, and if you can relate to me then maybe you can understand how my things can help you.”

JB Lamond - Real As It Gets

Transparency and pain take center stage on new single ‘Real as it Gets’ from rapper JB Lamond

PETERSBURG, VA – A neighborhood kid who dreamed big is the perfect description for Petersburg, Virginia-based musician JB Lamond. He loves to write about how he expects more out of his life despite his humble beginnings, and those relatable stories are inspiring an ever-widening group of fans all over the world. His latest release, “Real As It Gets” is the perfect example of the kind of original sound that he brings to the table. Telling stories of his journey out of the struggle, this hot new Hip Hop single is the kind of message that motivates listeners to overcome the worst experiences of their lives through hard work and dedication to a higher calling.

“It don’t get no real-er than being at your worst and still going through the worst,” JB said. “This song is about how I overcome it. It’s about having pain in my heart and things on my mind and feeling like I can’t talk to nobody, so I just write it down and rap it. I’m talking about those times when I get the deepest, and I talk about the hurt and pain in my lifetime as opposed to the good stuff going on. I feel like I get more quality material and I’m more fluent when I talk about the worst times in my life. I’m just letting you know that life doesn’t have to always be about being as real as it can get. It can be about having the courage to talk about it and overcome it.”

A video for the song is in the works and is slated to drop by early September. It will feature JB walking through the streets of his hometown in Petersburg, with shots of the downtown area and historical parks as well as some key locations that served as memory-markers for his youth. Growing in this area, JB said music served as an early inspiration to aspire for more. He discovered artists such as Fabolous and 50 Cent and used their stories of success as the template for guidance out of the ghetto.

“At the end of the day, I want my music to be known as some of the real-est music in the industry,” he said. “I want to be known as one of the top five artists out there today. That’s what I want to be – the best. For me, the top five would be Jay-Z, Biggie, Fabolous, Jadakiss and myself. One thing they all have in common is that they’re all from my favorite place in the world -- New York City. Jadakiss is from Younkers but the others are from Brooklyn. With Jadakiss, you’ve got a slick talker which is what I used to be like. But I had to grow up. Listening to Fabolous who can get all the girls, you see someone who can really rap. He’s got some of the best songs I’ve ever heard. Biggie made it cool to own what you are – fat, ugly, whatever … he stayed confident. He is a big reason I have the confidence, because I saw him do it. And Jay-Z is the ultimate businessman. He’s my favorite businessman in the world. He told Biggie he was gonna get rich, and he became a billionaire. I like how he shows people what happens if you know what you want to do and have the courage to do something about it. I’m building like they are because I’m not gonna be in Petersburg forever. Everything happens for a reason and I’m not just a regular boy living in the hood. I’m talking about a plan and how I’m gonna start a business, and I can really rap. One thing that stands out about me is my dedication to working hard, and my passion is undeniable.”

K!D Cable - Faith Over Fear

Florida Hip Hop Artist/ Producer K!D Cable makes major splash with debut album ‘Faith Over Fear’

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, FL – A decade’s worth of concepts and energy come to a head on the hot new album from Florida Hip Hop Artist/ Producer K!D Cable. “Faith Over Fear” is a heartfelt powerhouse of Hip Hop that chronicles the up-and-down years of this former drug addict whose road to recovery is equal parts inspiring and motivational. With songs like “Moves” and “Glass,” K!D Cable shows a diversity of sounds and styles while displaying an adept ability to spit flows in ways that are reminiscent of legends like Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The journey toward “Faith Over Fear” started at age 16 while K!D Cable was in high school. He’d always loved music, but it wasn’t until an after-school program called TeenFest that he truly found a passion for the craft. He took second place in the music competition from that organization and that sparked his interest in making beats and songwriting. But drugs and other vices soon found their way into his life and music took a back seat. There were some dark times for this young man during his early 20s but over the past couple of years, he’s been making major strides toward turning his life around.

“This album is the culmination of a decade’s worth of concepts and energy and having the faith that everything is going to be OK after all this time,” K!D Cable said. “Music is always in the works. It’s my passion. It’s what I wake up for. At all times there’s new music coming, and fans can expect new music pretty much any time. This is my first real project that I worked hard on and worked over a year on.”

K!D Cable said he was always inspired by some of the legends of the industry – artists like James Blake, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, MF Doom, Earl Sweatshirt and Kendrick Lamar. That influence shows perhaps the most on his debut single, “Moves.” With a bouncy, upbeat rhythm and falsetto background vocals, this song is a powerhouse of emotion from this raw and real rapper. The upbeat vibe is a counterpoint to the aggressive lyrics that are immediately reminiscent of Kanye West. Recorded during a time when music was just starting to become his main passion again, this single is the kind of song that fans worldwide will be using as motivation for many years to come.

“I had just gotten off drugs and was feeling a lot better when I wrote this song,” K!D Cable said. “I was starting to feel music again, and this was basically the first song I recorded after almost 10 months away. You can feel that energy in the song. My signature sound is based off who I’m influenced by, and you’ll hear some of that in the project. I want to give people the same feeling that those artists gave me – a feeling that their music is bigger than life. It’s almost like Christmas when they release something new like they’re giving you a part of themselves, and you appreciate it. That’s what I want to give people with this album.”

God Luce Witda Horns - I Spill

Standout single from God Luce Witda Horns teaches new wave of Hip Hop lovers new lingo with ‘I Spill’

HOUSTON, TX – Anyone who comes across Genesis Harris is left with a lasting impression. At any given time his hair is arranged into two, four and sometimes even six horns, taken in conjunction with his skills as a rapper or his passion for creating a movement known as Immortal Gods and Goddesses Theophanys, it’s impossible to ignore him. His new single “I Spill” is yet another example of how this young artist from Houston is leaving his mark not only in the music industry but on the American culture at large.

Slated to drop by the end of August, this single from the artist who calls himself God Luce Witda Horns is a catchy Hip Hop vibe that will definitely have listeners bopping their heads. He said the song teaches listeners about the things he’s passionate about in a catchy way.

“I came up with my own movement that I call spilling,” he said. “Spilling comes from the soul. I’m very spiritual about everything but I wanted to create something that people could bump to without it sounding too preachy. It’s little things to get them on track with my style and lingo. It has a bouncy flow, and the whole thing about it is that I’m a god. I’m trying to get everybody on that notion that we’re all gods and goddesses. And I do that all under this idea of spilling. A lot of artists out there use the word drip but instead of dripping, I’m spilling. It’s a different lingo that’s all about getting the vibe of people. That’s what my main focus is about.”

God Luce started his journey in the music industry at a young age as a dancer. His Hip Hop dancing is unique and he is generally considered the best dancer in Houston. He’s made a name for himself throughout town, and over time has parlayed that name into a successful career as a musician. His distinctive aggressive flow is a mirror of his life and his movement. Rappers like Lil Wayne, Lil Boosie and Dababy all had major influences on his sound and style, but it wasn’t until he discovered his life’s mission that the lyrics behind his music would help him truly create something that is now his signature.

Embracing the theology of Theophany – which states that every human or person has a god inside them – God Luce began to explore the various ways that affected his life. He adopted the name God Luce Witda Horns and started wearing his dreadlocks in horns everywhere he went. Out of that combination of things, he created a style that is symbolic and spiritual. “I Spill” is the perfect song to put that controversial and explosive flow on full display.

“My music is all about encouraging people to be you,” he said. “Don’t tell a person they have to believe one thing or another. However you spill is real. It’s you. This song is all about teaching people how to be themselves. It’s a movement. I want to be global with them. When you see me and see how I take over – no matter what beat I’m bringing or how I flow – you won’t be able to deny that I’ve got talent.”

Marthefinesser - Notice

Marthefinesser - Notice

Marthefinesser puts unique twist on Charlotte sound with new mixtape ‘Heartbreaks & Roses’

CHARLOTTE, NC – – There’s a certain sound that Hip Hop artists from Charlotte, North Carolina are known for. It’s a sound often associated with musicians like Dababy and Stunna, and it’s a sound that young up-and-coming “Prince of the Carolinas” Marthefinesser definitely exhibits. But his is also a sound that takes that signature Charlotte style and expands on it by introducing melodies and story-based lyrics in ways that are distinct and stand out. That signature style takes center stage on his latest mixtape, “Heartbreaks & Roses” which is currently available across all digital distribution sites.

The debut single from the project, “Notice,” has been turning heads all up and down the East Coast since the mixtape was released. Once a somewhat unknown artist in a not well-known music town, “Notice” helped to put Marthefinesser on the map... No longer is his a face that goes unrecognized around town, his single has become a mainstay in local clubs and on radio stations. It features smooth melody with auto-tuned vocals that let listeners take an up-close-and-personal look at this young rapper’s life. With lyrics like “Constant odds, but I’m tryna stay focused. Going hard, and I hope that they notice,” Marthefinesser not only shows people his focus, but also encourages music lovers to chase their own dreams.

“It’s my biggest song yet,” he said. “Basically it’s a song where I’m telling people how I’m trying to stay focused and go hard at my grind. I’m not bothering with nobody and I don’t want to be bothered, basically. I excel at telling stories with a melody – stories that are authentic and real. It isn’t the typical sound going around Charlotte but people love that vibe. I like to get people involved in feeling where I come from and hearing that emotion. I also like to get people grinning and remembering things from their own lives. This song is a vibe of me releasing that energy, and people feel it. I think that’s what separates me from people in my city, but I’m still using that Charlotte type of vibe while adding a melody.”

Another song from the mixtape – and Marthefinesser’s personal favorite – is the love song “Strange Addiction.” What started out as a poem he wrote expressing his love toward a woman has turned into an anthem that both women and men are embracing. The hook in particular is one that resonates with listeners, with lyrics that say “Let me show you, you can forget the old dude. Even when I’m mad at you, I still hold you. Just promise me that you’re different and you won’t fold, too.”

“It’s like a poem with punchlines,” he said. “I wasn’t expecting too many other guys to get into it, but they really love it. There have been quite a few other dudes tagging me on social media while they’re singing along to it, and I was really surprised. That’s been a good one for me, right there.”

In addition to the mixtape, Marthefinesser said he’s working on more music that should release later this year, as well as a new video for “Strange Addiction.”

Aj1k - Hot Shit

Mississippi master of freestyle drops stream-of-conscious summer jam with new single ‘Hot Sh*t’

LAS VEGAS, NV – Raw and real take center stage with the latest single from Las Vegas rapper AJ1K. “Hot Sh*t” is aggressive and upbeat while showcasing AJ1K’s ability as a freestyle artist to spit lyrics that are simultaneously entertaining and challenging to the listener. It’s a song that “tells the story of how people are today,” AJ1K said, while focusing on a stream of conscious delivery that opts to leave out a hook in favor of an unending flow of raw emotion in lyrical form.

The single comes on the heels of AJ1K’s successful debut album “Code Red” which he released in 2016. Since that album’s release, he said he’s worked hard at learning more of the industry and business side of music. That said, his debut album was so successful that it caught the attention of Lil Boosie who reached out to him after hearing the album online and invited AJ1K to his house for a listening session.

“I grew up in Mississippi, so the artists I grew up on were Lil Boosie, UGK and 8 Ball,” AJ1K said. “That’s the type of style I grew up on and it really influences my sound. As a child, I was always capable of rapping and I could always freestyle really well off the top of my head. But I never thought I’d get to meet my idol. And when he invited me to his house for a listening session after my ‘Code Red’ release, it really gave me a boost of confidence and made me really buckle down and start to take music seriously.”

That’s when he decided to change his stage name to AJ1K – a play off his birth name, Alfred Jenkins, and the 1,000 percent energy and attention to detail that he brings to everything he does, especially music.

“What I want my music to be known for most is my story,” he said. “‘Code Red’ is more of my storyline than anything else. It’s me being creative, but it’s also being real and authentic. I want to be remembered for that real-ness. I’ve gone through a lot in my life – I lost my mother last year to natural causes, for instance, and I’m only 23. That hit me hard and I put that in my music. So I hope people remember me for being real and being myself at all times. I want my legacy to be remembered for being 1,000.”

As he continues to ride the wave of success from “Hot Sh*t,” AJ1K said he’s hard at work on the follow-up album to “Code Red” which he’s tentatively calling “Code Red 2.” He hopes to release that in early 2021.

Trill - Circus

Trill - Circus

South Florida rapper drops mixtape filled with bangers and lyrical stories

MIAMI, FL – One of the hottest up-and-coming storytellers in Hip Hop has dropped a hot new mixtape called “Out The Shadows” and the debut single from the project is lighting up the country with its fresh energy and crazy beat.

The song is called “Circus” and it comes from South Florida rapper Trill. Though he’s been rapping since age 11, “Out The Shadows” is his first official mixtape, and the success of its debut single shows that he’s coming out of the shadows with a bang.

“There are so many good rappers out there that you’ve never heard of, and they’re like the Ninja Turtles coming out of the sewers right now, kicking ass,” Trill said. “That’s what I’m doing. It’s time for people to know who I am, and that’s what this project is all about.”

“Circus” is a club banger that is the perfect song for the summer. It’s starts off with a slow build-up, and when the drop comes, the Spanish-influenced rhythm makes it impossible for listeners not to move their feet. Trill describes it as “fiery” and “attractive” in ways that will get people moving while also showcasing his unique ability as a lyricist.

“I consider myself a legit rapper,” he said. “That said, this beat is one of those that just pops out there. It’s one of the best beats I’ve ever heard. It has a Spanish feel to it because there’s a little bit of Salsa in the background but it’s also Trap and it’s just unique. The idea is that everybody comes to the circus to have fun and see crazy things. So this song is about a circus full of people where they just get down and get crazy.”

Trill said he’s been into music from a young age when his mother used to work for IJ Records. He recalls one memory in particular when the record label brought in the group Humble Thugs who were on the verge of making it big in the industry. He joined his mother in the studio as the group recorded, and he was impressed by the group’s lyrical ability. It motivated him to write his own song which he and his younger sister performed. He started studying lyricists like Andre 300, Eminem and Meek Mills, as well as some of the best orators in history, such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. He took inspiration from their mastery of the spoken word and has used that to develop his own unique sound and style today.

“I consider myself a lyricist,” he said. “I can tell stories. I’m not a drill rapper or a mumble rapper. I’m a lyricist. I like to tell a story, but I like for everything I say to make sense. I don’t like repeating myself over and over which is what most rappers are doing today because it’s catchy. I like making bangers and feeding off whatever I come up with. If I come up with a hook, I feed off it. But first and foremost, I’m a lyricist and storyteller, and I want to be known for being a great rapper.”

Gotti Dinero - Yea Yea

Gotti Dinero - Yea Yea

Tragedy sparks new trajectory for Chicago-based artist GottiDinero

CHICAGO, IL – Life shifted when Tay Mulla got the news that his brother and cousin died in a car crash this year. The young Hip Hop artist from the Englewood section of Chicago had been rapping with his brother for years, and the two had been slowly making a name for themselves throughout the greater Chicago area as rappers who should be taken seriously. His brother’s name was GottiDinero, and to honor him and make sure that name never gets lost to history, Tay has adopted the stage name as his own.

Under that name, GottiDinero has been releasing singles over the past year that are pure emotion. They’re the kind of singles that the Hip Hop industry needs today. They’re helping him spread his reputation beyond the Midwest into the entire U.S. and into the rest of the world. His latest single, “Yea Yea” is a fun vibe that is perfect for the summer.

“It’s a song that’s basically me like I’m lit,” he said. “It’s a getting-money vibe with that rapid fire delivery as I talk about my lifestyle and getting money and being with girls. I’m a versatile artist and I’m a real genius, and this song shows that. With my music, there’s no fake nothing. I’m a genuine artist and you can feel me in my music. I just be me. That’s my style. Ain’t nobody like me. I want people to hear my music and be like, ‘Damn!’ just off of one line. There’s a thoughtfulness behind my music – behind the rhyme schemes and the word choices. I can make party music but more-so, I make music people can vibe to and will touch people.”

GottiDinero said music became a central part of his life at a young age. He remembers listening to Lil Wayne as young as age 3. As he grew a little older, his cousin found a way for them to record on SoundCloud which sparked his journey in rap. Though his cousin would eventually walk away from music, GottiDinero never did. He fell into music, and about two years ago, he’d reached a point where he began releasing his music to the world. He shot his first music video and things began to take off. Then tragedy struck with his brother.

“It happened on June 17th this year,” he said. “My brother was with my cousin and sister and two friends. Four of them were ejected out of the car, but my cousin was stuck in the car and died on the spot. My brother, sister and friends were in the hospital. He died in the hospital and so did another girl. But my sister and her friend survived and healed pretty quickly. Thank God they healed quick. It took me a little while but I eventually realized I wanted to make sure my brother’s name is still out there and lives on. Any time they see me, they see his face. That’s what I hope my music does – passes that legacy along.”

International Artist mixes sad love songs with EDM and Trap for unique new sound on forthcoming album ‘Flexin on a Heartbreak’

MALMO, SWEDEN – Over the course of his career, international recording artist Aeropryme has perfected a signature sound and style that stands out from anything else in the industry. Whether you’re in a European club and one of his Trap songs drops, or sitting at home chilling to one of his wavy Hip Hop grooves, there’s no denying the standout sound of an Aeropryme track.

That mastery of music will be put on full display with his forthcoming album “Flexin on a Heartbreak”. The album is due for release in late October. Calling it his most personal project to date, the album explores new avenues of his sound in ways that will not only engage listeners but make them hit repeat over and over.

“This is the most emotive, sincere and experimental project I’ve ever done,” Aeropryme said. “It’s the first time I’ve done singing with melodies. Prior to this, I was strictly Rap and Hip Hop. This project also includes a lot of mixtures of Trap, Afrobeats and EDM with R&B. I would describe it as sad love songs with Trap music. I’m very proud of it because not only does it show you how far I’ve come as a person and a musician, but it’s some of the best song writing I’ve ever done.”

Based off his real-life experience of a painful breakup, “Flexin on a Heartbreak” explores the months and year following the dissolution of what he believes was a very strong connection. To this day, he considers her to be the perfect match and can’t understand how everything ended, and that raw emotion finds its way into every track of the album in ways that are sure to resonate with millions of people around the globe who have experienced similar relationship hardships.

“As much as it hurts, I’m glad I had that experience because she is someone who ended up being a muse for my music,” Aeropryme said. “I feel it and it’s magnificent. I want to spread love in my music and I’m manifesting the love that I felt with her and putting it into my Album, and in my own way I’m making those real moments last forever in my songs. I’m sharing with people how I’ve dealt with heartbreak over the past year and how that has helped me to focus on my music and career and get better as a person and songwriter. This album will have run-of-the-mill Trap songs but without any of the curse words or intentional shallow lyrics typical of the genre. It will also have very, very sad love songs. Both of those things are true reflections of the journey I’ve been experiencing over the last few years. This particular lady was the final piece of the puzzle for how I have always wanted to venture out and deliver my music. I’ve collaborated with many artists around the globe and I have been credited on other people's projects as well, but this album is the culmination of my life’s work. I’ve been doing music for 15 years and for the first time in my life, I’m comfortable and creative enough to release an album to the world. I’ve been a major player on the underground scene for a long time but with this album, I really believe I can become a major international recording artist.”

Khalmplex - Frank White

Khalmplex - Frank White

Timely EP from deep-thinking rapper Khalmplex challenges perceptions and encourages the youth of the world to ‘Ascend’ beyond stereotypes

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The lyrical depth found on the new EP from South Texas rapper Khalmplex certainly lives up to the promise of his name. With double entendres and witty wordplay, the six songs on “Ascend” weave a complex web – but that doesn’t mean it’s inaccessible. In fact, this up-and-coming artist from San Antonio said this is perhaps his most relatable project to date.

Khalmplex’s journey in music started at a young age but really took off at age 17 when he and his best friend were signed to a small label in San Antonio. He recalls getting in the booth and spitting a verse and the record execs telling him that his writing was too complex. He didn’t know any better – he was just trying to emulate his favorite rappers. When he threw out a second rap he’d written, they told him it was even more complex than the first one. Instead of walking away from that vibe however, it’s something that he’s embraced. His career has consisted of deeper songs that use words with double meanings and encourage listeners to consider a different point of view. He’s also known for his energy, and again, his name speaks toward that calm before the storm. That energy is put on full display with the six songs on his new EP “Ascend.”

“This is me trying to focus on the heavier side of music,” Khalmplex said. “There is a lot of double meanings in the stuff I do, and I wanted to push the idea of rising above what’s handed to you. Everyone born of poverty is beat up on and there’s an attitude of ‘this is what it’s got to be.’ But you can change your attitude and decide to rise above and be whatever you want to be.”

The project starts with the first of three skits featuring rising star Jackboy of Sniper Gang Entertainment, making way for the first single “Ascenion” which Khalmplex describes as a sample of what he’s feeling during this current time of history. He’s venting frustrations while also setting the stage for the rest of the EP. This makes way for “In Danger,” a song that examines the inner struggle of the age-old angel on one shoulder and demon on the other. He said people will often point out the flaws in your life and tell you that you’re in trouble. But with this song, he’s flipping that and saying, “I’m not in trouble, I am the trouble. I’m turning the disadvantage into an advantage.”

The third and fourth songs on the EP are the most transparent and personal to Khalmplex and were inspired by the recent loss of his older brother. Song three is called “11:11 (Be Great)” and song four is “Frank White.” The former features slower guitar riffs and auto tune vocals in soulful ways that help listeners feel the desperation many artists feel when their backs are against the wall.

“Sometimes it gets to the point where you ask yourself why you’re even doing this when everyone is against you,” he said. “My answer to myself was that I wanted to be great. I’m using the gifts I was given and the tools I was given to create something better than what I see in front of me. It’s basically me pushing back and saying I’m not doing this for nothing. The idea for the name of it came as I was struggling with the loss of my brother. I kept seeing repeating numbers everywhere – all ones or all threes. And I read something that said 11:11 is when God sends a calling to his angels. It’s time to get to work. The term for it is the call to the light keepers, and that’s something I wanted to embrace. It’s a song that leads directly into ‘Frank White,’ which was the name of a fictional character in the film ‘King of New York.’ In that story, someone is trying to take the reins and rise to the position of boss because they just lost their general. That’s what I’ve had to do since my brother passed. So this is a song of me announcing a position of power and calling all my people to follow me and I’ll take us where we need to be. It’s a heavy song, for sure, with more of a gothic Rap feel, but I think people will dig it. We shot a video for it and put a lot of work into. It’s more of a get-up-and-go type of song with a sense of empowerment than anything else.”

The project ends with the songs “Crime Stories” and “No Investors,” the first of which was done in collaboration with Houston Rapper Juan Gotti out of the SPM camp. “No Investors” finishes the EP with a challenge to the young people of the world to rise above their station in life and don’t complain about the hard things that have been handed to them. Instead of complaining, he said, get to work and don’t let anyone else tell you what you can be.

“Nobody can stop you and tell you no,” he said.

Champeon - Jam Remix

‘Jam Remix’ from Trinidad and Tobago artist Champeon is the perfect party song for the summer

COLUMBIA, SC – The sounds of the islands paired with upbeat vibe and an overall party spirit are on the hot new track from East Coast artist Champeon. His “Jam Remix” is the perfect kind of summer song to get people up and on their feet during quarantine as it hearkens back to better times while promising good times yet to come.

Produced by frequent collaborator Jelani of Studio 23 Music Group, the song features guitar work from Tito Monaco – an artist from Nairobi, Kenya – and keyboards from Chify Jay – a Nigerian musician. Written and performed by Champeon, the song’s upbeat vibe has been making the rounds globally for the past couple of months and is getting quite a bit of attention from fans and industry insiders alike.

“It’s a song that gets you in a great mood,” said the artist whose origins start in Trinidad and Tobago before coming to Miami and eventually landing in South Carolina. “The lyrics and the instruments put you in a good place. The song came about when we were fooling around in the studio talking about how when quarantine is done we can’t wait to get back in the club and dance with some females. We ended up creating a sound that basically takes you to the party.”

A music video for the single has also been released. Directed and produced by Victor “Bigg Vic” Newton of 2026 Multimedia Studio, the video perfectly captures that summer party vibe by following Champeon as he meets a young lady, and the two started jamming to the music.

Champeon has had a long journey in the music industry. What started as a passion for Soca music while living in Trinidad and Tobago grew into a love for other genres – specifically Hip Hop as he moved to the U.S. When he moved to South Carolina, he joined a group from Miami called Absentee Crew. In 2002, Champeon got the opportunity to open at a show that featured T&T Soca artist Sanell Dempster. That performance put him on the map, and he hasn’t looked back since.

While working to establish his presence on the Soca scene, he began to explore what he could with his love of Hip Hop. Out of that experimentation came “Jam,” which he describes as a crossover Hip Hop track.

“‘Jam’ was inspired by my free-spirited nature,” Champeon said. “Despite all the disappointments in life, I still have fun regardless of the situation. The song captures that and gives you the feeling of wanting to dance with a lady – it’s a feel so unreal that you have to put your hands up. At the end of the day, I want to create music that people can relate to. A party song is something anyone can relate to, but I’m doing more motivational songs, as well, to make you think a little bit more. Mostly, I want to reach out and capture people’s attention and give them a good time. Life is short so we gotta enjoy it. It’s all about just having a good time.”

Stony SOS - Slime

Stony SOS - Slime

Stony SOS creates perfect single for getting high

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Stony SOS loves the chill feeling of a good high, and his latest single not only captures that feeling perfectly but also creates an ambiance for listeners that is perfectly primed to help others enter into that zone.

The song is called “Slime” and its slow-tempo bouncy beat pairs perfectly with Stony’s flow in an up-and-down rolling way that creates the perfect form for smoking weed. The song starts with an ethereal wood flute that introduces Stony’s catchy vocals before welcoming in a high-hat that makes the listener bob their heads while following along with Stony as he rides the beat.

“It’s more of a chill song because I’m a stoner and that’s how I make music,” Stony SOS said. “I make music for stoners and my music is chill. With this song, I heard the beat and I just started writing. What I’m talking about in the song is chillin and smokin and just being you as a person. I’m a free-spirited person, and that’s what this song is about.”

At only 24 years of age, Stony SOS has already started making a name for himself along the East Coast. Originally from Philadelphia, Stony moved to Jacksonville as a teenager and began to explore his natural gifts for music. He was inspired by legends like Lil Wayne and Young Thug because of their creative talent and ability to say whatever they want to say without worrying about anyone else. He eventually started making his own music because it made him feel free and helped him escape from reality – something he said he hopes to be able to do for others with his music.

“I want to help others like me whose outlet is music,” he said. “It’s all about being free, man. My music is about making people feel good – whether they’re sad or depressed or normal mood. When my music comes on, they feel it, and it will give them energy.”

Stony said he’s currently working on a music video for “Slime” which should release before the end of August. He’s also hard at work on the finishing touches for another single called “Rockstar Drip” which is slated to release later this year. Both songs were produced by Jay Ji Beats whom Stony said he works with frequently.

Eat Greedy G - Everything That I Know

Eat Greedy G sets the record straight with new single ‘Everythang That I know’

DALLAS, TX – Straight swag drips off the bars brought forth from Dallas-based rapper Eat Greedy G on his new single “Everythang That I know,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms. With its heavy 808s and a bouncy flow, this single is the perfect kind of summer jam that is ready-made for listening while riding in the car or chilling out back with some friends. Telling the true story of his arrest and incarceration, Greedy sets the record straight on multiple rumors on this first single after being released from prison.

“It was a big deal on the news and because of that, there were a lot of rumors and speculations about my arrest,” Greedy said. “People think I’m wild and fast and trying to get to the money, but they didn’t have the facts about this story. This is a song talking about how I came up and really being out here and doing what they’re talking about.”

Greedy is an artist who, like many other musicians, was surrounded by music growing up. His father created music and by middle school, he too, was creating his own beats and sounds on the small computer system he owned. He set that aside for a time because he needed to make money, which led to some poor choices that landed him in prison. But after prison, he realized he needed to make major changes in his life and has since dedicated himself to pursuing music full-time.

Over the years, he has developed a sound and style which is unique and original. Everyone who hears him comments that he doesn’t sound like anybody else – and he doesn’t try to immolate any of his influences or make sure his sound is commercial and appeals to the masses.

“There are artists in the game I like,” he said, “but I don’t overly listen to anybody because I don’t want it to influence my sound. My sound is based off a vibe – no matter what it is at the time. Whatever the beat is, expressing is how I’m rapping on it. And at the end of the day, people will know that I make music with authenticity. That’s what’s missing today in a lot of other music. My presentation is a confirmation of skill which automatically confirms that street credibility. And whenever your music can be confirmed, people can relate to it. I just want people to relate to my music – and I know they will.”

In addition to “Everythang That I know,” Greedy is also preparing to drop a second single in August called “My Way.” It’s a song that talks about the positive aspects of life that are starting to appear as he makes changes and better decisions. He’s in a position to be successful, he said, and yet challenges continue to arise to impede his progress and discourage him from getting where he wants to go. This is a song that basically says, “Get out of my way.”

That single will be followed with an EP that’s set to drop later this fall, and even more music planned for 2021.

MH Mace - Thoughts in My Head

MH Mace offers fly stream of consciousness with new single ‘Thoughts in my Head’

LONG ISLAND, NY – It’s not every day that a stream of consciousness turns into a hit song, but that’s exactly what has happened for New York rapper MH Mace. His new single “Thoughts in my Head” is the perfect example of how quality rapping and a good beat can sometimes create magic. What was born from a freestyle in the studio has turned into one of the hottest tracks ever created by this up-and-coming East Coast artist, and fans all over the world are adding it to their playlists to hear on repeat.

Like all of his music, each song in his repertoire is titled after an aspect of his life. With “Thoughts in my Head,” Mace is spilling the story of his life in its raw form. He’s authentic – nothing fabricated or extra – and he sets the tone for all the other songs that will come on the EP of the same name.

“When the beat comes on, I just let it flow out,” he said. “When you’re from New York, music is everywhere. When I was young, at first I was just rapping but eventually I learned how to do melodies and different instrumentals. I started playing with it and exploring, and the feedback I was getting was really good. I put a couple of songs out on Soundcloud and it just took off from there.”

While Mace is a nickname derived from his birth name, Maceo, the MH in his stage name refers to “Most Hated.” That’s a moniker that he and his friends created as they grew up in Long Island.

“We were always the crew that everybody hated because we were the flyist and all that extra stuff,” Mace said. “Now I’m running with it because it is a great way to think about my music. I make great quality music and I feel like my songs shouldn’t be skipped. If it comes on in a shuffle, it shouldn’t be skipped. Like my favorite artists – Meek Mill and Lil Durk and A Boogie – you can tell my music is authentic. They always tell a story with their music, and so do I. They’re not just saying whatever they think is cool. They’re actually telling a story in most of their songs. That’s what you get with my music.”

Mace said he considers himself to be a “lit introvert” – a guy who is laid-back but who can be lit whenever the occasion calls for it. And when that happens, his music sets the perfect tone for any occasion.

Thee Professor - At Night

Thee Professor - At Night

Thee Professor showcases lifetime of music knowledge on new album ‘No Vouchers Needed’

MILWAUKEE, WI – Corey Tucker has seen a lot when it comes to music and its influence on culture. As CEO of the record label GMW Records 414, he’s seen a lot of artists come and go – some leaving a lasting contribution to the ever-evolving music landscape and some passing by with barely a splash. His new album “No Vouchers Needed,” released Aug 7 across all streaming platforms, is his attempt to capture some of that musical history while also bringing a new sound and style that will be a contribution to the legacy of music in the world. With an old Hip Hop vibe that features hard bars combined with “jewels and jams” of his own creation, “No Vouchers Needed” is the kind of album that 10 years from now people will be looking back to with astonishment.

“Youngsters and people of all ages out there are looking to be excited by another wave of music,” said Tucker, who performs under the stage name Thee Professor. “I’m a part of history in the streets, and history period. I don’t need no vouchers. I don’t need anybody trying to lift me up. In my city, people know me. I’ve been involved in music for a long time and people know who I am. With this album, I’m trying to bring a contribution to the industry – to bring back that old Hip Hop flow and style. And then I’m bringing some choruses that come in for a balanced vibe – not just up or down but balanced. At the end of the day, this album is me saying I’m here and I don’t need no vouchers.”

The debut single from the project is a song called “At Night.” It’s a track that describes Thee Professor up at night working hard on his beats and researching different aspects of the industry. It’s a song that perfectly encapsulates the 18-month plan of being a CEO of his own label, of being a producer for other artists, and of being a record maker for himself.

“It’s about staying up late working and trying to manifest your dreams,” he said. “It taps into dreams I had when I was about 17 or 18 years old and things I was going through back then – like hustling in the streets – and then shows another side of me from now and what I’m going through today. I think it’s a song that shows off my sound which is authentic and original. As long as I’ve been doing music, no one has been able to compare me to anyone. It’s not too many people you will come across who is just someone who can get on the mic and sound like themselves but also have that switch that flips for anyone.”

In addition to the release of the album, Thee Professor said he’s planning on putting together some visuals for a handful of the singles, which he plans to release later this fall.
