Real Deal Wit It - No Cap

Midwest artist Real Deal Wit It shares inspiring musical journey with ever-widening global fanbase

AKRON, OH – To understand the music and talent of Midwest artist Real Deal Wit It, you have to understand where he comes from. Living in the streets of Akron, Ohio is already a rough starting place, but add to that a crack-addicted mother and an absent father and it’s easy to see how this young man might be led to a life of drugs and violence. By the age of 14 he was in-and-out of juvenile prison while dodging life-or-death situations on the streets. But through it all, music was his escape. Artists such as Tupac and Tribe Called Quest became sources of refuge for him, and ultimately became the inspiration behind his own creative outlet of songwriting and recording.

Today Real Deal Wit it is a bona fide hit-maker whose star is quickly on the rise. His upcoming new single, “No Capp,” is an eagerly anticipated track that showcases his unique sound and style. It’s a street banger, but with heart behind it and a message that he hopes will resonate with others living on the street in ways that motivate them to pursue a different walk of life.

“I took it back to the hood with this one,” he said. “As soon as you hear it and hear the 808s, your head starts bobbing and you’re gonna put it on repeat. Ultimately it’s about what it means to be a street dude and living the street life while also trying to live the better life you said you were gonna live.”

It’s the first single off his forthcoming album, “WHIZ,” which is slated to drop later this year. Serving as an anagram for Writing Hits In my Zone, the album also pays homage to his late brother who was murdered last year. His nickname was also Whiz. The project is one that will further showcase the natural talent of this fast-rising young artist, and continue the momentum that started with his previous album, “Real Estate,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms.

“When I make music, you’re not gonna be able to box me into one specific category,” Real Deal Wit It said. “I’m somebody who’s bringing a lot of lyrical content back into the game. I’m talking about situations and things I’ve been through, or others have been through, in ways that are fun and inspiring. I could write about anything. I might write about my favorite barbecue chips if that’s what I need to write about. Whatever is in the moment that inspires me, that’s what I’ll roll with. A lot of people don’t expect that from me because I come from a background that’s very serious. I can make music that talks about that, but I also make music about things I’m trying that’s new and different. And I’m trying to make a new life instead of celebrating the street life and those serious things. If you put it in your mind first that it’s something you want to do, and make sure it’s in your heart and follow through, you can accomplish anything.”

Just DOM - Dying To Live

Journey of self-healing serves as foundation for new music career from East Coast artist Just Dom

BRONX, NY – Dominique “Just Dom” Cox is a man whose spiritual journey has taken him far over the years. From a life that brushed up against violence and drugs on the streets to a spiritual awakening that today encapsulates a lifestyle that motivates all others around him, this young man has a story that’s inspiring. He’s sharing that story through song with his debut single “Dying To Live,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms.

Written in response to the dark times so many people around the world find themselves in these days, the song pushes a message of motivation to all those who are thinking about quitting or who lack self-discipline to see things through. It’s a song that born from his own struggle of trying to figure out what he was going to do with his life, and ultimately discovering his life and his purpose.

“I’ve been doing massage therapy for almost 10 years, and that started when I decided to change my life and understand that I’m in control,” Just Dom said. “Growing up I had a rough upbringing, and I did some things I wasn’t so proud of. I got to a point where I had to ask myself: Am I dying to live or living to die? That’s the message I’m pushing with this song. The words and things I think sand say are direct manifestations of me and what I want for myself. You can take back your power and understand how powerful your words are and believe in yourself. That’s the whole purpose of this song.”

It’s not just the words that are powerful, either. King Dom said the video that will be released in coming weeks will serve as a visual motivation that’s the perfect accompaniment to the song. Visually, it will show people a transition from the times they’re in right now to a time of freedom represented by nature and being outdoors and not having to wear masks all the time. For those illustrative times of nature scenes were shot in Woodstock, and those moments will be juxtaposed against scenes of Just Dom in on the train station on Grant Avenue in Queens, as well as on the E Train in Long Beach.

The combination of visual art with his thought-provoking lyrics makes for a deeply conscious musician who is set to leave a definitive mark in the music industry. Following “Dying To Live,” Just Dom said he’s preparing to release a second single called “Hood Cry,” featuring an artist named Castro, which is another empowering and motivational song for the masses.

“My music is more conscious and ultimately I hope is known for being more vibe music,” he said. “There’s not anything you can put in a specific genre, it’s just feel-good music. It’s the kind of music you can drive in the car and it feels good to turn on, or you can play it in the morning and it motivates you for the day. That’s the kind of sound and inspirational vibe I want to continue to produce.”

Yokouno - Mhm Rewind

Emotion-filled music takes center stage from fast-rising young artist Yokouno

ATLATNA, GA – Everybody is familiar with the sound you make when you agree with something. It sounds like “mhm.” When you agree just a little bit you might make the noise quietly. When you agree a lot you would make it aggressively. And when you agree with something so much that you want to leave no doubt, you repeat the sound three times over. That’s the kind of energy Atlanta-based artist Yokouno is trying to build with his music, and it’s the reason he kick-started the hashtag #mhm3x. It’s a tag that has gone viral on a couple of social media outlets over the past year, and it’s also the tag that servs as the title of his latest hit single.

“#mhm3x Rewind” is the new single from Yokouno, and it’s currently available across all streaming platforms. Inspired by the viral hashtag he created, it’s a song that represents the sensation he’s creating around the world – a sensation that has an ever-widening fanbase clamoring for more.

“When it comes on it’s like I want you to rewind my hashtag and just experience the fun over and over again,” Yokouno said. “It’s the idea that you love something so much that you want to keep doing it. It’s an upbeat and fun song that people will really like.”

The single is just the latest from a string of hits from this artist who turned to music after a football injury derailed his dreams of playing professionally. To get through the times of mourning that came after having to walk away from his first love of sports, he turned to music. He’d listen to music all day long – artists like Kid Cutty and Travis Scott and Wiz Khalifa. Music was a blessing to him, he said, and the emotions that he was feeling were reverberated back to him through the songs he’d listen to. Today, he hopes to create music that has the same healing effect for others as it did for him.

“I want my music to represent good spirit and emotion,” he said. “That’s why I make such a wide variety of music. I make slow and fast and everything in between. I want to be the artist that everybody listens to for every emotion. I think of myself as an alternate artist, meaning there aren’t many similarities to what’s out in the industry today. I’m trying to make my own trends. When the other industry trends and fads are over with, I’ll still be there with my own vibe.”

Yokouno said he’s preparing to follow up “#mhm3x Rewind” with another single called “Hatchet Burial.” That song, which is slated to drop in the next few weeks, is more of a “pain song,” Yokouno said, and encourages people to learn how to forgive and to walk away from the bitterness they might be clinging to associated with old wounds.

Michael Jackson is my favorite artist.”

To enhance his platform, Gabriel B 18 remains active on TikTok. Unfazed by the coronavirus pandemic, Gabriel B 18 continued to perform. “I don't even worry about that because we’re far away from people,” said Gabirle. “When I'm on stage, I think about the mind and the stage. I'm going to get somewhere this year. I know I’m going to get somewhere.”

Gabriel B 18’s latest EP Stop The Hate ushers in the new king’s reign. The track “It’s So Hard To Be A Kid” rightly positions itself as a pop anthem for Generation Alpha. “You gotta do homework, you don't have your own life when you’re a kid,” said Gabriel B 18. “You don't have your own stuff. You don't have your own phone, you don't have permission to go outside and buy whatever you want. But, at least you don't have to pay rent. And then, I am the young king.”

Gabriel B 18 filmed a music video for Stop The Hate’s title track. The video sees Gabriel B 18 donning sparkling red in a word of black-and-white. “Stop The Hate'' implores empathy, compassion, and understanding in the modern world. “There’s a lot of hate spreading,” declared Gabriel. “We need to spread more love.”  Stop The Hate includes a cover of SameCooke’s 1964 protest hit “A Change Is Gonna Come.” “When I heard it, I liked it,” said Gabriel. My Dad played it for me. We made a remix of it because we all know that a change will come. That means there's going to be more good stuff than bad stuff.”

From atop his throne, Gabriel B 18 looks into the future. When he looks into the unknown, he sees fortune and glory. “I want to talk about me winning a Grammy,” he laughed. “Because when I do. my Dad will be so proud of me.” Gabriel continued, “I want to be the best artist I can be, the best everything. I want to be in love. I want to help the earth and the animals. I want to help the homeless people. Everybody, I guess.”

Gabriel B 18 said he was pushing forward to make many more videos this year. He intends to perform live shows in the immediate future. To his fans, he said, “I love you all. I hope you have a great day and a great year. I’m out here making great music.”
