Living in the streets of Akron, Ohio is already a rough starting place, but add to that a crack-addicted mother and an absent father and it’s easy to see how this young man might be led to a life of drugs and violence. By the age of 14 he was in-and-out of juvenile prison while dodging life-or-death situations on the streets. But through it all, music was his escape. Artists such as Tupac and Tribe Called Quest became sources of refuge for him, and ultimately became the inspiration behind his own creative outlet of songwriting and recording.
Today Real Deal Wit it is a bona fide hit-maker whose star is quickly on the rise. His upcoming new single, “No Capp,” is an eagerly anticipated track that showcases his unique sound and style. “When I make music, you’re not gonna be able to box me into one specific category,” Real Deal Wit It said. “I’m somebody who’s bringing a lot of lyrical content back into the game. Journey of self-healing serves as foundation for new music career from East Coast artist Just Dom
BRONX, NY – Dominique “Just Dom” Cox is a man whose spiritual journey has taken him far over the years. From a life that brushed up against violence and drugs on the streets to a spiritual awakening that today encapsulates a lifestyle that motivates all others around him, this young man has a story that’s inspiring. He’s sharing that story through song with his debut single “Dying To Live,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms.
Written in response to the dark times so many people around the world find themselves in these days, the song pushes a message of motivation to all those who are thinking about quitting or who lack self-discipline to see things through. It’s a song that born from his own struggle of trying to figure out what he was going to do with his life, and ultimately discovering his life and his purpose.
“I’ve been doing massage therapy for almost 10 years, and that started when I decided to change my life and understand that I’m in control,” Just Dom said. “Growing up I had a rough upbringing, and I did some things I wasn’t so proud of. I got to a point where I had to ask myself: Am I dying to live or living to die? That’s the message I’m pushing with this song. It’s not just the words that are powerful, either. King Dom said the video that will be released in coming weeks will serve as a visual motivation that’s the perfect accompaniment to the song. Visually, it will show people a transition from the times they’re in right now to a time of freedom represented by nature and being outdoors and not having to wear masks all the time. For those illustrative times of nature scenes were shot in Woodstock, and those moments will be juxtaposed against scenes of Just Dom in on the train station on Grant Avenue in Queens, as well as on the E Train in Long Beach.
The combination of visual art with his thought-provoking lyrics makes for a deeply conscious musician who is set to leave a definitive mark in the music industry. Following “Dying To Live,” Just Dom said he’s preparing to release a second single called “Hood Cry,” featuring an artist named Castro, which is another empowering and motivational song for the masses.
“My music is more conscious and ultimately I hope is known for being more vibe music,” he said. “There’s not anything you can put in a specific genre, it’s just feel-good music. It’s the kind of music you can drive in the car and it feels good to turn on, or you can play it in the morning and it motivates you for the day. “#mhm3x Rewind” is the new single from Yokouno, and it’s currently available across all streaming platforms. Inspired by the viral hashtag he created, it’s a song that represents the sensation he’s creating around the world – a sensation that has an ever-widening fanbase clamoring for more.

To get through the times of mourning that came after having to walk away from his first love of sports, he turned to music. Music was a blessing to him, he said, and the emotions that he was feeling were reverberated back to him through the songs he’d listen to. Today, he hopes to create music that has the same healing effect for others as it did for him.
“I want my music to represent good spirit and emotion,” he said. “That’s why I make such a wide variety of music. I make slow and fast and everything in between. I want to be the artist that everybody listens to for every emotion. I think of myself as an alternate artist, meaning there aren’t many similarities to what’s out in the industry today. I’m trying to make my own trends. When the other industry trends and fads are over with, I’ll still be there with my own vibe.”
Yokouno said he’s preparing to follow up “#mhm3x Rewind” with another single called “Hatchet Burial.” That song, which is slated to drop in the next few weeks, is more of a “pain song,” Yokouno said, and encourages people to learn how to forgive and to walk away from the bitterness they might be clinging to associated with old wounds.

New single featuring haunting vocals of Kami Elrod offers hope in the face of emotional pain
COLUMBIA, MD – There are a lot of people in the world living in pain – sometimes emotional, sometimes physical, and sometimes both. That deep pain is the source of inspiration for Julie Elrod and her new single “Bluebirds.” Featuring the ethereal vocals of her daughter, Kami Elrod alongside the creative flow of notorious rapper Lost Angel of Havik, the song explores the depths of pain and offers a new perspective for those who deal with it on a daily basis.
“I’ve had nine knee surgeries, a hip replacement, and two failed spine fusions in my life and I live in constant pain,” said Julie Elrod who also owns one of the biggest karate schools in Maryland. “The words in the song are based on how I feel a lot of the time. It’s a sad song because it’s about a guy who wants to be with his mom who has passed away, and he’s in emotional pain. People have pain they live with, and this is a song they can identify with. It hits straight to the core.”
The song bounces back-and-forth between Kami Elrod’s singing and Lost Angel of Havik’s rapping. The lyrics were written by Julie Elrod with some additional writing credits from her son, Wyatt Wayne, and Lost Angel of Havik. The original beat was produced by Rock It Productions but was re-invented by Elrod, who had violin, cello, and piano tracks added in.
Julie Elrod said she’s always had a love for writing music, and though the Karate studio has been her primary business for the past 36 years, she’s always dabbled in writing music. When the studio was forced to shut down because of the lockdown associated with the global pandemic, she put most of her time and energy into writing as many songs as she could. “Bluebirds” is the first but will be followed by other songs that she plans to release in 2021.
“I want people to hit home and identify with my music,” she said. “I also want to showcase my daughter’s voice which is hauntingly beautiful. Kami’s voice is mesmerizing, and I love to listen to it over and over. But I also want people to relate to the words in the song and find meaning in it. I want them to know they’re not alone and that we recognize the pain and depression that so many people feel. A lot of people are in that same position. Just because people are smiling on the outside doesn’t mean you know what they’re going through on the inside.”
