Jamaal Marvel - Give It To Me

Jamaal Marvel – Give It To Me

Jamaal Marvel releases timely new dance track
‘Give It To Me’

SUWON, SOUTH KOREA – The only thing better than a dream is living it… And though the transition from the world of dreams to reality may be difficult, those meant to dream will continue to dream, and those meant to live it … will.

Jamaal Marvel is no longer dreaming. This rising star who hails from Virginia has a creative mind that finds its way into telling stories across multiple mediums – from novels to art to music. His music in particular has been drawing some attention of late, and his newest release “Give It To Me” is sure to put him on the map globally.

The up-tempo dance track is the perfect song for today’s troubled world. With lyrics that inspire listeners to find healthy outlets for their stress, “Give It To Me” is the kind of groove that’s not only fun to listen to but also motivational.

“People are going through so much on a daily basis,” Jamaal said. “There’s just wave after wave of stress – from relationships or jobs or children or debt or whatever. We’re all trying to overcome and survive. This is a song that shows the importance of stress release in order to get through and stay above water and control life. It gives people some examples of ways to do this in a fun way that many people can relate to. Basically, it’s about a person who is going through turmoil but is persevering despite what they’re experiencing, and at the end of the day, they can go out and grab a drink and go dancing and have fun. So it’s upbeat, it’s fun, and it’s uplifting in a way that promotes that kind of stress release.”

Drawing inspiration from every decade of music – specifically the Funk of the 80s and the Heart-and-Vibe of the 90s – Jamaal continuously pushes his creativity to levels greater than before. This rapper/singer/songwriter/producer blends the best of all that is loved in Hip Hop, R&B, Funk and Pop into a sound that defines the word unique.

“I’m a singer first, but I also rap,” he said. “When I make a song, a lot of times I think of whom I’d like to collaborate with and I try to make that kind of sound. So I think about J.Cole and Mariah Carey and Doja Cat making a track together – what would that sound like? I think it would sound great, so I try to make something like that.”

While serving in the Air Force over the past decade, Jamaal has also been slowly developing his career as a musician. In 2012 while stationed at Luke Air Force Base, he began touring with a small group and performing at local venues. He released his first album, “Love & Imperfections” in 2013, and in 2015, he co-founded the fusion group Half Black, becoming its lead vocalist. The group’s album, “Evolution” debuted in 2016. In 2017 and 2018, Jamaal began collaborating with EDM artist Cadmium, creating singles that today have reached more than two million views on YouTube. This year, he has already released two singles – “Sucker” and “Future Love” – both of which have gotten some heavy play on streaming platforms.

This year Jamaal has been busy creating even more music as a solo artist while also putting together a larger body of work. With two albums down and a second solo album set to be released in fall 2020, Jamaal Marvel is living his dream.

“We are what we do, not what we say we want to do,” he said.

Blaq Pyrates - Steady Growth

Blaq Pyrates – Steady Growth

Hip Hop soul group Blaq Pyrates drops new single “Steady Growth”

CORDELE, GA – One of the hottest street performing groups in the country has flown under the radar for the past few years, but with the launch of their new single “Steady Growth,” they’re set to launch into global recognition.

The group is known as Blaq Pyrates, and they have been performing in major cities all over the South and Mid-West for nearly two decades. Originally known as the Trapville Pyrates, the group has won multiple awards over the years and have performed in some of the country’s most famous venues. In 2016, they were the winners of the Sony Music Distribution Competition Tour, followed by winning three Independent Tone Awards in 2017 including Artist of the Year in both the Pop and R&B/Soul categories as well as Band of the Year in the Alternative Rock category. They also won Hip Hop/Soul Group of the Year in 2018 for their single “Problems.” Their success gave them opportunities to perform in places such as WME Music Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, Liquid Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia, Daiquiri Lounge in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the South By Southwest Mansion Party in Austin, Texas, among others. Blaq Pyrates also appeared on the Legendary Khujo Goodie’s album ‘Feed The Lions’ Volume One.

The group has fluctuated from as many as six members at one point to its current lineup of four artists. It was founded by Ali “Obawale” Rahman in 2003. Joining him were his two brothers, Amin “Obayemi” Rahman and Karim “Obatunji” Rothwell. The three performed under the stage names Fetty Cash, Rasta Rudd, and Marty MacFly, respectively. Their cousin Hayward Hollingsworth, AKA Koolgi Kid, joined them as well. They changed their name to Blaq Pyrates in 2007, choosing to adopt the acronym that stands for “Brothers Linked Amongst Qualifications, Protect Your Riches Alias Through Extreme Status” and have since performed under this name.  In 2009, Koolgi Kid left the Pyrates to start another group & was replaced by neighborhood friend, Michael Childs, named Nephew Shawty. In 2010, Jeffrey Alexander, named Jonny Papez, was added to the group’s roster but would later leave in 2018 to pursue other ventures. In 2015, Kendale Gibson, named York ILL, became the last member to join the group creating the group’s current four member lineup as follows: Rudd, York, MacFly, and Nephew. In the fall of 2017, the group incorporated their own independent record label Blaq Pyrate Nation, LLC naming Fetty Cash as the CEO. Unfortunately, in the fall of that same year, Fetty Cash lost his life in the streets of Cordele due to gun violence. Since his untimely death, the group has created a fashion line as a tribute to their CEO and lost member, called Zódoq Mebenki™, named after Fetty’s alter ego “Zodoq Banks”.

Their steady rise to superstardom over the past three years has brought them to July 2020 and the release of their new single “Steady Growth,” which features independent artist Vigilany of New World Renaissance. The music video for the song was filmed in New York City’s Times Square approximately one month before the devastating COVID-19 outbreak.

“It’s a song with a classic Hip Hop beat and Trap undertones,” said Marty MacFly. “We consider ourselves a Hip Hop and Soul group, but this song has a little more hype and energetic feel to it. It definitely will, for sure, get you inspired. It’s the perfect song to showcase our progressive growth over time. It encompasses what we’re about and what we’ve been doing. The video with different shots throughout Times Square will definitely give people that feeling of energy and success.”

MacFly said the group is excited to see what the next decade will bring for them. As soon as it’s safe to do so, Blaq Pyrates will begin performing publicly again, and he promises that fans can expect more of the excellent sound they’ve been known for across the years while also bringing new energy and styles to the table.

“Our music is about pushing business, entrepreneurship, independent wealth, and the American value system of hard work and dedication,” MacFly said. “We have a new age type of sound with old school concepts. When you listen to us, you’re gonna hear something that sounds completely different than what’s out there, and you know when you see us — it’s going to be unique and eye-catching.”

Key$oul - Hop Out The Benz

Key$oul – Hop Out The Benz

Key$oul Releases A New Single “Hop Out The Benz” on ALL Digital Streaming Platforms!

Keiontae Alexander better known as Key$oul is a 25 year hip-hop artist out of Benton Harbor Michigan. Honesty is the name of the game for Key$oul, no smoke and mirrors, $oul wants you to see the pain, the struggle and ultimately the reward that comes from grinding in life.

Influenced by the hip-hop and R&B since his inception, it’s like destiny wanted $oul to begin creating his own art. In 2016, with the Internet in full swing and artists, both mainstream and independent seeing success, $oul wanted to throw his hat in the ring. However unlike some who jump into industry, Key$oul was more than ready and in fact excited about the work ahead.

Our Michigan hero spent the following years in the background, working, learning, grinding in an attempt to make it out. $oul says “I constantly focused on improving. I was at the studio, rain, sleet, or snow.” The hard work would pay off as Key$oul has two singles well over 22K plays with his “Wow Freestyle” closing in on 50K plays and this is just on Spotify alone.

The hard work behind the scenes is also what led to “Vibe With Me” a collaboration $oul did with Florida R&B singer Della Cruse. Key$oul wants listeners to walk away motivated and with the confidence that they can “accomplish anything” whether you’re starting from the bottom or starting over $oul believes you can make it to the top.

Sabastianlax - Freshman

Sabastianlax – Freshman

Fast-rising young artist Sabastian Lax drops debut single ‘Freshman’

BROOKLYN, NY – Sean Bailey has a story that would be familiar to most recording artists today. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, this young rapper had a love for music and would spend his free time writing lyrics in his notebook or recording freestyles onto the audio notes app of his phone. Whenever he’d let his friends hear his raps, he’d always receive positive feedback, and by his senior year of high school, it seemed only natural for him to take those raps into the studio.

In the two years since that time, this up-and-coming East Coast artist has continued to develop his unique sound and style in ways that have led him to the release of his debut single, “Freshman”. It’s a song that tells the true story of where this young artist is today – operating under the stage name Sabastian Lax and announcing himself to the world as a new voice in the industry that should not be ignored.

“This is the beginning of the season of trying to make a career out of music,” Sabastian said. “This song is me telling my story of where I am right now and the kind of music people can expect from me. My sound is very unique, and I learned everything by teaching myself. Throughout most of my childhood, I was involved in the performing arts – I acted, played piano, designed clothes and even danced. I started by writing freestyles in my notebook about people around me and stories of what I’ve seen. Basically, my raps are telegraphing the journey I’ve taken and what I want to achieve in life. My music is the best way to manifest the things I want while talking about the stuff I’ve seen while growing up. I have a lot of friends who were into the street life and I hung around them even though I knew it wasn’t my path or direction. It’s not my personal experience, but I can rap about it because I saw it. And I love showing people a different side of that lifestyle. I know they’re good people deep down despite the things they’ve gone through or done. I’m proud of my neighborhood and the experiences that shapes my life and influenced by appreciation for the arts”

Sabastian doesn’t just share those experiences through his music, either. This young entrepreneur is also a fashion designer and is currently going to school to study fashion design. He began designing clothes two years ago when he realized how many different styles and types of t-shirts there were throughout the city. His imagination took off and he began designing his own t-shirts. Recently he created a “Ban Trump” t-shirt that he gave out at rallies throughout New York.

Sleeze The KingPin - Throw It Back

Sleeze The KingPin – Throw It Back

Rising frome murder accusation, Sleeze The Kingpin raps to tell his story and clear his name

JUNCTION CITY, KS – In 2019, Sleeze the Kingpin spent the first few months behind bars. Suspected for being connected to a murder which he had absolutely no involvement in, this man suffered tremendous losses because of the accusations and media storm. Instead of being defeated, Sleeze prevailed through the wrongful allegations. Shortly after his release, he started rapping because he has the voice and the story to tell.

Sleeze The Kingpin’s gritty, authentic street music is reminiscent of an older generation of Rap. The artist is genuine about everything he puts out, and street dudes relate to his message. But his stories are for everyone, including those who don’t actually live the street life like “the people who don’t wanna go to war but love watching war movies,” Sleeze said. “What I’ve been through and what I’ve put down in the music is for everybody. You can either relate to it or you love watching it from the safety of your own home.”

Sleeze’s latest single, “Love Bring You Back” has a sit back, ride out and vibe-feel. Featuring Fiend (From “No Limit”) and Lil Donald (“Do Better”), the track came together after Sleeze met Fiend at an Atlanta Top 20 event. Sleeze pulled together the artists to collaborate on his beat, first by convincing Fiend to add the verse, and then turning to Lil Donald for the hook. Released mid June and produced by Jay Wood, “Love Bring You Back” reminisces about lost love and reconciliation.

The previous single by Sleeze The Kingpin is a dance song called “Throw It Back” which he dropped earlier this year. A club banger, the track “goes hard in the club for the ladies to throw it back, like the song says” Sleeze asserted. Produced by his cousin, Slomeezy, “Throw It Back” features the talented Angel White from Dallas. Although he has only been rapping for a short time, listeners will witness the progress in Sleeze The Kingpin’s creativity in the string of singles he has released over the past year.

Sleeze’s next project is a music video for “Love Bring You Back.” He will travel back to Atlanta where he plans to coordinate filming with the other contributors on the song. He also has a few other projects in the works including some slow jams and the development of his very own record label, Pis Po Records.  The music label is being created to provide opportunities to other upcoming artists that need a way, despite Sleeze being a new artist himself.

Last year began with Sleeze contemplating his life. He thought about his time in the military and how his service enabled him to travel the world. He thought about the things he had done after his military service, and how he had become an entrepreneur who was especially proud of his restaurant. He was also a proud father who was very involved in the lives of his children. Being falsely accused of murder would have broken most, but Sleeze turned the negative experience into fire to light his way into a brighter future. An artist who launched his career only a few weeks after his release from jail, Sleeze is a natural-born storyteller who is admired for his clever wordplay and the way he spins his tales.

Tabares24 - Drop It on Site

Tabares24 – Drop It on Site

Miami native creates club bangers perfect for the end of social distancing

MIAMI, FL – If there’s one thing Tabares24 is known for, it’s making club bangers and good quality music. The fast-rising musician from Little Havana in Miami, Florida has been making a name for himself over the past few years with his hard-hitting tunes and his one-of-a-kind flow. His most recent single, “Drop It On Site” is yet another sure-to-be-hit.

Influenced by an eclectic melting pot of different music over the years – from Hip Hop to Rock to Bachata and Salsa – Tabares24 fuses different sounds across bouncy beats in ways that get people moving. He is making his mark on the music industry with his 305 style of Hip Hop and Club anthems. And over the course of the stay-at-home orders following the COVID-19 pandemic, he has slowly put together a catalog of songs that are now ready to release to a world that’s ready to get out and party. He is the producer of these music releases as well.

“This new single is going to be a huge club song,” Tabares24 said. “It’s kind of my way of pushing back against these stay-at-home orders. I’m basically saying if you want to shut the clubs down, that’s fine, we’ll bring the clubs to the gram. It’s definitely a club banger and people are going to love it.”

Tabares24 is utilizing the help of some strippers to help market the song and the forthcoming music video, which is set to drop later this month. By utilizing the social media platform Tick Tock, Tabares24 has recruited strip club dancers who are currently out of work and having them dance to his song. Eventually, he said the music video will bring the strippers back to the club scene, as well as showcase them dancing around him on a party boat with him in the center entertaining everyone.

“We all have cabin fever right now and we desperately want the normalcy of Miami life back,” he said. “That’s what this song is about – getting back to what we love and having a good time.”

In addition to “Drop It On Site,” Tabares24 has released another single called “Where’s My Freedom At.” Unlike most of his other music, this song takes a different approach and is a bit more slow and soulful. It samples bit of Kanye’s music and features “hard lyrics” that explore everything going on with the global pandemic in ways that commiserate with others wanting to rebel against the negative side effects of social distancing.

Both singles will soon be available across all digital streaming platforms, with a music video for “Drop It On Site” to follow later this month.

Sean Walk - Nobody

Sean Walk – Nobody

Sean Walk inspires movement with new single ‘Nobody’

MAYWOOD, IL – Sean Walk is creating a movement. It’s hard to define, but anyone who listens to his music will understand immediately what it is he’s trying to inspire. It’s a movement that’s all about making music for everywhere – breaking down barriers and destroying walls that spring up between people for so many petty reasons. During a time in which there are wide cultural and societal divides, Sean Walk’s movement is not only attractive, it’s necessary.

“Whether it’s vibe music or dance or music for the soul, I’m trying to create something that helps people relate in positive ways to what’s going on around us,” Sean said. “Each day, I experiment with different genres such as Rock, Rap, Blues, R&B, or whatever my soul feels like doing. My music is personal style, growth, and the ups and downs of everyday life. I hope that my movement will be something that everyone who listens to my music can relate to. Music should help people cope with life, be happy, be motivated, be inspired, and hype you up.”

Sean’s newest single is a perfect example of that unique sound and style. The song is called “Nobody,” and it explores the inner strength it takes to look others in the eye and say, “No, I won’t listen to your negativity.”

“I never try to fit in,” Sean said. “I’ve always been different and I’ve always gone my own way, and that’s what this song is about. It’s Rap mixed with Rock and the lyrics talk about not needing anything and not asking for help or depending on anybody. I’m going all by myself and making it happen. It’s a real live song – a turn up song – with pure emotion.”

Sean said the single is one that serves as the perfect marker at this current time of his life, and a great example of the kind of journey he’s taken both in life and in music. He first started down the path of music as a career when he was 9 years old. His mother purchased journals for him and his brother, and he recalls listening to Petey Pablo and writing down his lyrics into the journal. He started rapping when he was 13 and in the years since, he’s worked on developing his own unique sound and style.

“My sound is all about realism and the hurt and pain and actual feelings we go through on a daily basis,” he said. “I don’t consider myself a rapper – I’m a ghetto rocker. I turn my passion into music, and the way my music comes out is just pure. I just let my mind do the work and every time, I come out with a hit. It’s raw emotion. Too many people don’t want to let their feelings out but with my music, they can connect and it can help them get their emotions out. That’s how I express myself and that’s what this movement is all about. If you don’t want to talk to people, you can talk through my music.”

In addition to “Nobody,” Sean is also preparing to release a mixtape called “Safe Love, Real Problems” which he said should be available across all streaming platforms by September. He’s also working on a 12-song album called “Focus Through Frustration” which he plans to drop either later this year or in early 2021.

J-Carter - My Doorstep

J-Carter – My Doorstep

East Coast artist J-Carter drops fourth album
‘Hip-Hop Till I Die’

TRENTON, NJ – Back in the lab and ready to drop more heat, East Coast artist J-Carter is back with his fourth album “Hip-Hop Till I Die.” And it’s not an album for the average Hip Hop fan. With 48 tracks, it’s a project that J-Carter says is the kind of musical journey created specifically for people who have Hip Hop as part of their DNA.

“I’ve got a lot to say and so little time to say it, that’s why the album has so many tracks on it,” he said. “You might hear 48 tracks and wonder what I have to say, and really I cover everything. I’m trying to keep the classic Hip Hop aura going with the reality and concept of this album, all while implementing it into more of a contemporary sound. I’m also trying to show my diversity and flow, so across all of the songs, you’ll hear Hip Hop but also R&B, Pop, Rock & Roll, Blues, and so much more.”

J-Carter said “Hip-Hop Till I Die” is an album that balances traditional lyricism with a contemporary outer shell. It aims to keep the realness and reality for which Hip Hop is known, while also taking a progressive approach to the genre in ways that he said will leave a mark on the music world.

“It’s something that hasn’t been heard before in this genre,” he said. “I think I have a unique voice. Nowadays, when you hear rappers, most of them are trying to sound the same and so many of them use auto-tune. I can’t stand auto-tune. It takes the personality out of your voice and you just end up sounding like everyone else. Sure, you might get one hit from that, but that’s it because you have no personality to set you apart. I’m different in regards to every song you hear has personality to it. No one song sounds like a previous song I made. And you can tell by the personality and flow that it’s me.”

J-Carter said he first got his start in music when he was 13 years old and got bored one day in class, so he “just started writing.” He loved it so much that he took a deep dive into English and the crafting of the language. He would spend his spare time reading about words in the dictionary and playing with lyrics. He also studied storytelling, and when all of those things came together, he found that he had a natural gift for songwriting.

“A song is a story, and I love fitting all the intricate parts of a story into something that sounds interesting,” he said. “I write for the people, I don’t write for myself. My music uplifts the minds of all people who listen to it. As long as I can keep that at the forefront of what I do, it’ll never fail. I want to help people elevate their minds. That’s what music is supposed to do. If you’re not doing that with your music then what’s the point?”

Jerzey B - Its Litty

Jerzey B – Its Litty

Jerzey B returns to music scene with a bang from new single ‘It’s Litty’

NEWARK, NJ – On America’s Independence Day, East Coast artist Juan “Jerzey B” Battle Jr. released his new single “It’s Litty.” Like the explosions that accompanied the national holiday, Jerzey B’s new song is a blast back onto the music scene after an unexpected hiatus of the past three years.

This young up-and-coming artist from East Pennsylvania has a storied past when it comes to his pursuit of a career in the music industry. Signed three years ago to an independent label, it looked like things were about to take off for this talented young rapper. But a series of complications with the law stemming from past mistakes made it impossible for him to travel internationally, and the independent label – which had signed him with the intent of having him tour overseas and develop a global following – ended up dropping him. Jerzey B stepped away from music after that, frustrated at the situation and discouraged that his hopes and dreams wouldn’t ever come to fruition. But in the face of so much other global disappointments in 2020, Jerzey B decided he wanted to take a second chance at pursuing his dream.

“Everything I ever needed was to be heard, so I decided to hop back and do it again… but bigger this time,” he said. “This song is my intro to me coming back. It’s definitely upbeat and it features a female artist named Cyani Love. With her sound and mine, I just know it’s gonna be great.”

Jerzey B said his music is the kind that will get fans turnt–up. Though his lyrics can go deep and into great detail, the art of pairing those lyrics with catchy music is what really inspires him. He’s a fan of beats that make you turn up, and that’s what he tries to bring with his own music.

“I’m gonna mix that and make sure you can turn it up, but I’ll have some real shit in there, too,” he said. “It’s gonna give you that 90s vibe when it comes to the words, but the beats is gonna get you here in 2020.”

For a large part of his life, music was the only outlet for his frustrations. When he was 9 years old, he witnessed his father stabbing his mother multiple times. She lived through the attack and when she recovered, she took Jerzey and his two other siblings to Blackwood, New Jersey to start a new life. Trouble followed him, however, and music became his go-to when things got rough. He was incarcerated at age 16, and every night in jail, he would write a new song to help deal with his emotions and anger. He’s been in and out of jail 17 times over the years but over the past year, has dedicated himself to turning over a new leaf and putting his energy into the music.

“I feel like when I speak, I want you to actually feel like if he did this shit, I can do it, too,” he said. “I want to inspire people on a different level. The biggest thing to get out of my music is to build the structure for a lot of other artists. I want to change the New Jersey scene and make it the next Atlanta. There are so many good artists here, but we don’t have the structure or the resources to get the world listening. That’s what I’m gonna bring because we got the potential and I got the passion. This is me – 100 percent.”

Lendpha - Fire

Lendpha – Fire

Haitian-born artist inspires others to overcome challenges
in pursuit of dreams with forthcoming album ‘Fever Dreams’

MIAMI, FL – Marc Sans Souci – better known by his stage name Lendpha – is a firm believer in the idea that anyone can follow their dreams and make it. His own personal journey of humble beginnings in Haiti to fast-rising artist in Miami is a perfect example of how hard work pays off in the end. And his debut album “Fever Dreams,” which is set to be released June 30, is a diverse musical examination of that journey.

The 10-song project features a variety of different sounds and vibes, all underneath the idea of chasing success and the challenges that come along the way. The title is derived from the notion of having good dreams while sleeping, though sweating through the night – a metaphor that mirrors the hard work that so often accompanies ambition. Lendpha is no stranger to hard work and challenges along the path to success.

“Growing up in Miami, I eventually met a guy named Martin Luciano who encouraged me to get into music,” Lendpha said. “I moved to New York and was starting to make a name for myself. But in 2016, I had a major breakdown in life. My daughter was being born and her mother had cheated on me while she was pregnant. It broke my heart and destroyed me, and it was hard for me to find myself again. I also found myself being a single father raising a daughter. Through all of that, I realized I needed to channel my inner self, and for me, the best way to do that was through music. I started writing and with Luciano’s help, I’ve been rocking ever since. I’ve put some singles out here and there, and a lot of people have been vibing then and liking them. This project is the culmination of the body of work I’ve been developing over the past year, and I think it will really show people not only my journey and what I’m capable of as an artist, but also inspire them to push through their own challenges as they chase their dreams.”

Lendpha said his sound and style are definitely unique not only because of his original content but also because of his sound – which takes inspiration from his Caribbean roots while also nodding to some of the great Hip Hop artists of the past.

“I want my music to be known for positive energy and good vibes,” he said. “My music represents anyone who can follow their dreams and make it. It’s about self-belief. A lot of people are going through stuff and don’t know how to channel that energy from the inside. My music is here to help them believe in themselves. If they can hear my songs and see me doing it, then it will help them believe that they can get it done as well.”

The initial single from Lendpha’s forthcoming album is called “Fire” and is also coming out on June 30th. The upbeat, energy-filled song has a predominant Afro-beat, with a vibe that is reminiscent of French Montana’s “Unforgettable.” Lendpha said it’s a track that women will be especially attracted to.

Hope the Rapper - The Coming

New 3-song project by Hope the Rapper delivers inspirational message for the world to hear

RALEIGH, NC – During these historic times in a nation where anger, fear, and reform are being voiced by millions, a very special artist has heard those voices and has come to help.  His name is Hope, but for this special project he would like to be called Hope the Rapper, and Hope “The Rapper” is here to bring the change America desperately needs.  A strong believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ, Hope speaks of a TRUTH this nation has selectively chosen to forget.  “Isn’t it apparent?” he asked.  “Just look at where we are now…the more America moves away from the TRUTH, the worse we become.  It’s not rocket-science and everyone is to blame for it”.

Not strictly Christian or Gospel, Hope’s unique style of Hip Hop and Rap teaches a message that is intended to bring the listeners’ attention back to what really matters – GOD.  But be forewarned, this is not your Sunday morning song with a cup of coffee or something you’ll hear from the church choir before a sermon.  Hope speaks the TRUTH, and his mission is meant to shine the light back on the TRUTH.

Hope partnered with Producer and co-writer, Michael “The Captain” of Artist Mill International in Raleigh, NC to create the collection known as “Emancipation.” As a new voice that needs to be heard giving a message that needs to be said, “Emancipation” is meant to really make you think.  “We want this to be a conversation starter.  We know this album is going to be the cause of a lot controversy, and we want that to happen because Controversy often is the Catalyst to Conversations about Change”.  Hope said.

Released earlier this month, the lead single, “The Coming” is an awakening, characterized by smooth flow, creative lyrics, and artistic touches. Hope approaches the bible at a different angle, showing God as an artist.  Be sure to pay special attention to the lyrics Hope uses and his voice volume.   “I speak softly for a purpose,” he said, “I want the listener to focus because what I am saying needs to be heard”.

“It was a fun song for the Captain and me” Hope laughed. “Don’t hate the player boys and girls, hate the game”.

The entire “Emancipation” project will be available on all major digital platforms. To listen to Hope the Rapper’s music, please visit:

Naj8 - Be my Peace (Prod: Pharaoh Vice)

Naj8 – Be my Peace (Prod: Pharaoh Vice)

Young East Coast artist, Naj8 combines genres with fresh beats for unique love song, “Be my Peace”

BOSTON, MA – Najja Lee is confident that his choice for his artist name Naj8 will bring him good luck. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the 8th day of the 8th month, Najja’s lucky number has always been number eight. Rising from the hard times of losing his mother at an early age, he moved from Florida to Atlanta, where, as good fortune would have it, Naj8 was exposed to music that spoke to him.

Growing up, music provided a world for him to escape to. Now as an artist, Naj8 is making music for others to escape to as well. Primarily a rapper and R&B singer whose potential is still being unlocked, Naj8 can kick it in many different styles.

Recorded in Atlanta, his song “Be my Peace” is a love song about finding the right one. After he and a friend started working on the same beat, the song came together in the studio as a combination of each artist’s take on the track. “It was at a time when we were both a little heartbroken,” Naj8 said, and the song talks about all the feelings they wanted to have and to know personally.

Naj8 uses his songwriting skills to make music that is real and truthful, creating an atmosphere that connects emotions. Naj8 says what people are thinking about love, depression, heartbreak and more, and the music is captivating because he writes about what people are really feeling inside. “Either you’ve come to terms with these feelings or you’re running away from these feelings, but you’ve felt these feelings before.”

Although he didn’t initially think about making his own music, Naj8 has always loved listening to music from all genres. While living in Atlanta, his circle of friends was filled with artists who were rapping and free-styling. In 2016, during his sophomore year in high school, Naj8 decided to get serious about his own music career. At first, he wanted to have the same vibe as rappers he was listening to, such as Lil Uzi, Migos, The Weeknd and Future. He moved on to naturally craft a style that was different and more his own. “I started to put my own influences on the music like how I know music,” Naj8 said. “That’s when things started to change.” Becoming more confident in his ability, he was able to create music that gives a truly unique experience to his listeners.

Naj8 is working hard to make sure that his message is heard. He returns to the recording studio next week to begin work on a new EP. Ready to push his limits as an artist, he is determined to help as many as he can through his music. “If people feel like they’re alone, I will show them that there is no alone – we’re together in this!” The power and emotion of Naj8’s music is worth delving into.

Ooday - Pussy Demon

Ooday – Pussy Demon

Multitalented Ooday offers mixtape for multiple audiences with ‘It Factor’

NEWBURGH, NY – Legacy … so it begins.

Those are the first words on the new mixtape from New York artist Ooday, but they’re also the prophetic words for a young new artist whose unique sound and style are destined for greatness.

Having survived the streets of Newburgh, New York – often the victim and the suspect of violence – Ooday not only found himself in prison for more than three years but also found a love for telling stories through music. Each song he creates takes you through a different journey, all of which is encapsulated on his mixtape “It Factor.”

“What I was aiming for with this first tape is to show my versatility and that I can rap lyrically,” he said. “I can make songs kids want to listen to with rhythm and bounce to dance to. And I can make songs for the females to listen to and go to the clubs. This is a project that shows that I can do all these things musically. I put lyrics into catchy rhythms, and I can deliver both good rhythms and good content. That’s more than most other artists out there today.”

“Pussy Demon” is one of the singles on the mixtape.  It’s a bouncy song perfectly suited for the clubs with lyrics that bounce back-and-forth between a man and a woman talking about a sexual encounter. A music video for this single is coming soon.

Other singles also featured on the mixtape are “That’s Crazy” – a “real smooth gangster kind of song” and “Explosion” – an R&B track made especially for the ladies.

Ooday said after he returned home from prison, music was something he focused on as a way to turn his life around. The more he put out singles and the more he built a fanbase, the more the buzz grew about his sound and style. Today, he’s developed a signature style that accommodates a wide range of audiences.

“I want my music to be known for music lasts,” Ooday said. “It’s not temporary. I want to make music that people listen to repetitively. When they come back to it, they still get that feeling they got when they first heard it. I want to make music that is timeless and sticks around. That’s why my name is Ooday. When people hear my music, they’re gonna say, ‘Oooh! There he is!’”

All of Ooday’s music is released under the independent label No Equal Management, which also features a handful of other artists and producers from the Newburgh area. He said there is a lot of music soon to be dropped from that crew.

Lil Snook - Letters From The Midwest

Lil Snook – Letters From The Midwest

Lil Snook shares ‘Letters From The Midwest’ with hot new single

SHAWNEE, OK – Tyler “Lil Snook” Johnson is a 22-year-old rapper from the Midwest whose unique blend of Hip Hop and Pop is the kind of sound that fans are going to want to start paying attention to.

His newest single, “Letters From The Midwest,” is currently available across all streaming platforms and is already turning heads in its first two weeks of release. Exploring themes of lost love and rebuilding, the song is a great display of Lil Snook’s upbeat Hip Hop style.

“It’s about trying to move on from the past and looking at the letters me and my ex used to write to each other,” he said. “It’s more upbeat and shows how I tend to write about a little bit of everything from my life. I write about anything I’ve been through or seen or am currently going through, or even things others are going through. Sometimes, like with this song, I draw from past relationships. There are just a lot of different things that inspire me. I also sing and rap and produce my own music – I do everything by myself from my home in my own studio.”

Born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lil Snook first became interested in creating music when he discovered Lil Wayne when he was 10 years old. That Hip Hop legend’s passion behind the lyrics was what caught Lil Snook’s attention.

“You could tell he was in love with what he was doing and he was driven to do something to change people’s lives by rapping and making music to tell about their lives,” he said. “I caught that at a young age.”

By 12, Lil Snook was writing his own stuff and experimenting with different sounds and styles. He’d perform for his family from time to time, and his aunt gave him the nickname Lil Snook after hearing him rap.

“She thought my sound was old-school,” he said. “We’re from the South and she thought it sounded right from where we’re at. She said that it was a sound that was gonna be so different that it was gonna sneak in and be real popular. She started calling me Lil Snook and it just stuck.”

Today, Lil Snook said he hopes to create music that will be a long lasting legacy of others who have come before him. With two more albums set to drop in the next month as well as more singles that he’s preparing to release, he said he has an archive of music to share with the world.

“I put out music a lot,” he said. “At least once every other week I’m putting something out. I’m trying to blow up real fast. I want my music to be popular and a lot of people to relate to it. I want to create something people like, but if they don’t like it – oh well, it’s still my music and I’m still gonna put it out there and a lot of people will still relate to it. I get a lot of passion in music and through music… it drives me to live every day and to write. And I want to share that with the world.”

TPTSpotlight - Stepped On

TPTSpotlight – Stepped On

Spotlight shines on Lake City, SC with new mixtape ‘Trailer Park Thug’

LAKE CITY, SC – There’s a spotlight about to be shined on the small East Coast city of Lake City, South Carolina – on a trailer park, in fact. The spotlight will shine bright on new Hip Hop artist Eric Robinson whose slick YouTube music videos have already been gaining attention worldwide and whose new music is set to become the talk of the industry in upcoming weeks.

Adopting the stage name TPTSpotlight (for Trailer Park Thug), this young rapper is set to drop a new mixtape called “Trailer Park Thug.” The debut single from that project, “Stepped On” is already available across all streaming platforms and has started gathering plays on YouTube for its video.

Featuring TPTSpotlight’s brother Sdaii Slimey, the song is one of those hype songs that’s perfect for the summer.

“It gets you turnt up,” TPTSpotlight said. “Like some sneakers, you can get stepped on – that’s basically what it’s about. I think it shows off the authenticity of my flow. I don’t sound like anyone else. I’m still rapping on most of it, and this song is really gonna pop.”

TPTSpotlight said he wants to honor his hometown and the neighborhood where he grew up for more reasons than just the loyalty that comes from that close-knit community. The story behind how he and his brother reunited after more than a decade apart plays a part in his music. When their father was incarcerated for 10 years, the two of them were separated with Sdaii heading to Virginia and Spotlight going to live with his mother in Florida for a time. Sdaii’s mother was shot in the head down the street from their house and he ended up in the foster care system. When their father was released from prison, Spotlight found out from him that his brother was in Virginia, and the two reconnected.

“It’s one of those small-town secrets, you know.” Spotlight said. “We’re from a small town – you can literally walk to anywhere from where we live. If we make it, it’ll be major. That’s why I wanted to add TPT to my name so that we can show the world what it’s like to be a trailer park thug. We’re looked at like underdogs, like we’re not gonna go anyplace. But we’re gonna show the world that’s not true.”

The entire mixtape will showcase Spotlight’s hood – with stories and experiences from a life growing up in a trailer park. It will also continue the high-energy vibes of “Stepped On” with music that Spotlight promises will “make you snappin.”

“When people hear my music, they’re gonna say, ‘That boy goes crazy on the beat!’” he said. “I want people to get up out of their seats when they hear my music. You can’t sit down when you listen to my music. You have to stand up, put a light on and do something when my music is on.”

RoyaltyPm - Spend It All

Royaltypm – Spend It All

RoyaltyPm drops hot new EP ‘Summer is Over’

CHARLOTTE, NC – Bryson Adams – better known by his stage name RoyaltyPm – has just dropped a hot new EP that sets the right kind of vibe to get fans all over the world through the last days of summer.

Appropriately titled “Summer is Over,” this nine-track EP pairs melodic sounds with RoyaltyPm’s smooth voice for a radio-ready vibe that is sure to offer plenty of ear candy for listeners from a wide range of places. That’s because RoyaltyPm’s music explores a wide range of experiences from his life that are stories that connect with other people.

“A lot of stuff I speak on includes struggles and issues with my everyday life,” he said. “The vibe I’m going for with most of the music I make is to paint a vivid picture with my lyrics while still remaining sonically pleasing. I just want to be transparent and honest as possible while giving people something they can gravitate to and listen to in any setting.”

The debut single from the EP is a song called “Spend It All.” RoyaltyPm released the song earlier this year and has gotten rave reviews. The song explores the high-end trends of the world and the influence designers have on culture and behaviors. The music video for the song which was recently released on his YouTube channel, brings this idea to the forefront by having RoyaltyPm perform next to a Ferrari that’s parked in front of a heavily graffitied wall in Houston, Texas.

“It’s really vibrant, which is what the song is supposed to be,” RoyaltyPm said. “Basically, I’m saying I’m into designer things and all the nicer things – like nice cars and clothes. It’s up-tempo and upbeat because we’re trying to push that high-end vibe, and people have been really gravitating to that sound.”

RoyaltyPm describes his signature sound as a combination of three different styles. There’s his street sound and stories, then there’s his unique vocal abilities that takes listeners on a journey from low octaves to high, and then there’s his ability to rap. He takes the influences of his home in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as the influences from nearby Atlanta, and then adds his own signature sound to the mix for a truly one-of-a-kind offering of new music.

“There are people who rap but don’t sing good, or people who sing good but don’t rap good, or who rap good and sing good but don’t have anything real to say,” RoyaltyPm said. “I do all three. I’m eager for people to hear my music because they’ll get to a point where they know what to expect from me. My music is about creating a certain vibe. When you go somewhere – a party or whatever – I want to be the first guy you put on because I’m gonna set the tone. I want people to recall me without me having to put it in their faces… to remember my sound and to remember that I’m somebody they can relate to.”

Joshua Michael - Devour You in Flames

Joshua Michael – Devour You in Flames

Joshua Michael inspires people struggling with pain by highlighting the joys of life in new single ‘House of Pain’

SAGINAW, MI – Joy and pain are two things that Joshua Michael has experienced in spades and as such, he’s uniquely equipped to explore the nuances of those dueling feelings through his unique brand of music.

Overcoming Crohn’s disease has been a major part of Joshua’s journey, and he’s turned to things like boxing and physical fitness to help overcome that overwhelming pain. Through those things, he’s found a job that he now wants to pass along to others with his latest single “House of Pain.”

“It’s a song that introduces everything about me,” Joshua said. “My sound and the way I rap and my style – just everything. It’s about finding beauty within the beast as I invite everyone into my world (inner house). That was me, and I’m inviting people in who can relate to my music – come in to the house of pain where we can talk about life and ups and downs and the deeper roots that help grow the highest branches.”

Joshua said he knows his music stands out from a crowded music industry because of the things he talks about with his songs. There aren’t many people in the industry exploring themes from his point of view especially in the way he does – from an inner exploration of the self.

“I just represent self love,” he said. “When people hear my music I want them to know it always has a message and substance. It’s not something I’m just saying just for the sake of saying it. I’m really sending out messages that can really help people or soothe their pain. I want to stand for the people.”

In addition to “House of Pain,” Joshua has also released “Devour You in Flames” which is another single about pain. He describes it as a song that encourages others to let go and let themselves heal from past wrongs. Like most of his music it’s a laid-back vibe that creates the perfect kind of atmosphere for introspection.

“I’m not really an upbeat type of guy, so all my music is pretty chill and laid back,” he said. “This song has a suburban bassline to it and I sing a bit at the beginning before I rap and then come back to singing at the end.”

Joshua said he plans to release new songs every two or three days for as long as he can. He’s created three mixtapes already – “House of Pain,” “Forbidden One” and most recently, “Joshua Michael.” All of his music is currently available across all streaming platforms.

HDC - Drunken Love

HDC – Drunken Love

Small town friends join forces to create hot new duo HDC

SANTA PAULA, CA – Jose “Joezee” Gutierrez and Israel “Short” Ruiz always knew they were destined for greatness, despite the fact that they are from such a small town in Santa Paula, California. And though many people have discouraged them from chasing their dreams of being professional musicians, these two friends are putting their passion to sound and letting the fans around the world speak for them. Together they have formed the group HDC.

“We’re trying to create a future for ourselves so we can give back to the community and to this small town,” Joezee said. “So many people we know are trying to do better and be entrepreneurs, and they’re being talked down on. We want to start something new and fresh and keep growing ourselves as artists. We want to keep releasing music that people will enjoy and relate to and that they will love.”

Their most recent offering to the world is a new single called “Drunken Love.” Told from their mutual perspectives, it’s a song that explores the relationships they have with their girlfriends and how they both met their women at a party. The coincidence in the way their love stories are so similar mirrors the way their lives have seemed on the same path for many years. And as they weave this story underneath a chill vibe, it creates the kind of sound that is perfect for driving late at night with that special someone. That vibey laid-back groove is one that fans of HDC will come to recognize going forward as it is part of their signature sound.

“We want to keep it real to what we like, not change to what’s hot right now,” Short said. “We’re making music that we like doing and that’s fun to us. We write about our personal lives – heartbreaks or things with our families. It’s very personal and we put that in our music because we feel like people can relate to us. We’re talking about things that could happen to anyone.”

Two other songs that were recently released by HDC are “Dreaming” and “About You,” both of which have been getting strong feedback from those who have listened to them. The first is about the aftermath of a drunken love – the moments after the ecstasy when you realize that person really isn’t the one you want to be with for the long haul. Short said it’s a song that “people can feel in their souls and hearts.”

The second song, “About You,” is a little different than their other releases in both sound and style. “It’s a song about how one person can change your life for the better,” Joezee said. “During the relationship – when you’re in the middle of it and the happy times – everything about that person is exactly what you want. That’s what this song is about.”

HDC said they’re working on more music to release later this year. To listen to their music or to follow them on social media, please:
