S-Y, one fourth of hip hop group "Team Takeoff" comes out of Orlando, FL.
Using his catch phrase "s-y no l-i-e", S-Y names his first solo project "NO LIE"
For S-Y, No Lie represents much more than just another one of the several tapes you may hear from a florida resident. The smooth, but aggressive flowing florida representer is clearly in the beginning of a crucial rap career, and shows many signs of whats to come with this debut release.
Using twelve songs, S-Y crafted the mix tape with patience, bringing together an ideal mix of concepts and dope producers such as Johnny Juliano, Persyce, LUBTPF, Troy Armstrong & More.
The tape begins "Liars". The head-nod inducing beat gives listeners a taste of what's coming for the next half hour as S-Y's flow is right on point. The track's title is analogous to the lyrical content, and further, S-Y s way of exposing those who lie about everything from their image to what they have. In many other tracks, in particular B.A.S.S. (Featuring J- Kirv & Noodle) he touches on his past, the grind, the doubters, and the streets as well as the club.
This mixtape provides S-Y an opening chance to prove himself, and he did more than that. He took great strides with this project. Growing fans can refer to him as the possible new florida prospect.
