Calico Blue born Antoine Freeman December 7, 1987 in Jacksonville, FL is an American hip hop/rap recording and performing artist. Calico brings a refreshing sound to today's music scene. Calico Blue is a new revitalizing sound in an era of hip hop where much of the music of recent years have all had similar sounds and patterns, not breaking any molds. With a deep hypnotizing voice that could only be closely compared to the likes of Kevin Gates, Gorilla Zoe or Trae da Truth, Calico Blue has a bit of a southern drawl yet in contrast to his voice he is impressive lyrically. 

Calico is a very progressive artist sometimes taking the traditional approach towards making music and delivering heavy material on every line but many times also opting towards melodies and utilizing modern techniques such as auto-tune but in ways that continue to separate him as an artist. Even when Blue dabbles with playful melodies he delivers consistent material that will surely capture the attention of real hip hop and music lovers everywhere.

Calico Blue proves that he deserves to be mentioned amongst the best up and coming artists with his first single "GLOW" where he delivers a gritty, smooth and bold statement to the culture that, "it isn't just jewelry that makes him glow!" This single is from Blue's  "The Pursuit". "The Pursuit" promises to be a diverse collection of music with Calico teaming up with few major level producers including M. Geezy (Boosie, Plies, Young Cash) who produced his lead single "GLOW" as well as other tracks and Ace Bankz (Chief Kief, Fetty Wap, 21 Savage) whom produced Blue's head bopping tracks "Flashdancer" and "Slide" for the project as well as few other songs on the mixtape. Calico Blue's engineer, Brian Moon (OVO/RepsUp), has mastered Blue's sound to make sure his voice is delivered to you with the best quality available in music.

Calico has released 3 videos prior to putting his mixtape "The Pursuit" out to the world. His lead single "GLOW" has a visual that compliments the music in such a way that you would think the director of the video, was somehow involved in making the music. It gives your eyes the right pictures for the right sounds. He also released a video for his lyrically hard hitting track "The Proof" as well as a visual shot in Miami, FL for his smooth, melodic rap track "Slide".
