Kiga - Wock$tar

Kiga – Wock$Tar

Kiga to Finally Release “Wock$tar” as a Summer Anthem
HACKENSACK, NJ – Taking the underground hip hop/rap scene by storm is the musical menace who is known simply as Kiga, and his journey to success hasn’t always been easy. He reflects back to when he was younger, as he always loved music as a form of self-expression. His passion for writing meaningful lyrics has only grown over the years- believe it or not he has a background in poetry. When he realized he could take his lyrics inside the studio and completely transform them artistically, all bets were officially off.
When it comes to his overall aesthetic as an artist, his flows are incredibly versatile. In the beginning, he started out writing music for his own personal entertainment, but people would continually gravitate to him and his sound. “People heard my music and would tell me how dope it was. My first project I ever put out brought in over 35,000 streams on its first debut. I’ve just used that as motivation to keep it going up from here,” said Kiga. Simply put, you’ll have to see, or hear, what we’re talking about for yourself. Kiga doesn’t define himself by any musical genre- he expresses himself freely, which makes his entire artistry stand out from the rest.
Kiga doesn’t set rules for himself. In fact, he believes to his core that there’s no right or wrong way when it comes to music. “I have a rule that all of my songs need to sound different from one another. I just make music that feels and sounds good to me. I can’t put it into a genre,” said the artist. With all that being said, he has formed a strategy when it comes to releasing music. In everything he does, he makes sure he’s always putting his best foot forward, especially when it involves his music releases.
Fans will be excited to learn that he’s finally releasing a song he’s been teasing for a while, his new single, “Wock$tar”. This banger is sure to be on rotation all summer and have everyone going wild. “This is the type of song you turn all the way up when it comes on. I have people stop me all the time asking me when I’m going to finally release the track, and I just feel now it’s time. This song is going to have people turning up all summer. The WOCK$TAR vibes are too strong, resistance is futile” said Kiga.
That sounds like a plan to us. Plainly said, Kiga wants everyone to “prepare for the takeover because Jersey is up next”. And in true Kiga fashion, he closes out with his trademark: Kigaworrrdd.

Ben Grizz - Steak and Rice

Ben Grizz Keeps Charts Hot with “Expensive Taste”
FITCHBURG, MA – If you want to know who’s currently making his bid to become Massachusetts’ next hip-hop star, look no further than Ben Grizz. Growing up around the music, Ben often found himself dabbling into it. He only started buckling down in efforts to grow his career as an artist about a year ago. The growth is impressive because ever since then, he has taken his talents to the next level.
Ben describes the past year as a complete rollercoaster. With developing his sound and perfecting his craft, he’s navigated all of the ups and downs that come with it. “It’s been an experiment finding out what works and what doesn’t. I like to make club music, but I don’t define myself by a genre. I bring a lot to the table,” said Grizz. Adding to that, the artist tells us how genuine he is not only through his music, but also in everyday life. His sound is what he refers to as old school warmth with a modern day punch.
Last October, Ben released his fan-favorite EP “Expensive Taste”. Since then, his music has circulated radio charts, especially hip-hop focused ones. “I’ve gotten some really positive feedback since the release. The album release party sold out, and it was wild. People are really loving it,” said Ben. The album reflects on a lifestyle that the artist lives out each day. Through this, fans can get a peek into his world, which is always respectable.
What’s coming up next in the world of Ben Grizz? This weekend, he has a show in Fitchburg, MA, which will likely have a packed house. He tells us fans can expect a lot more from him, especially from a visual perspective. If you’re in Austin for SXSW, make sure to check him out- he will be there keeping the stage hot!

$pender - Audemars (feat. Lil Cobaine and J Bandz)

Hot new single ‘Audemars’ hits airwaves
from up-and-coming artist $pender
DALLAS, TX – One of Spencer Johnson’s fondest memories from his childhood is of sitting in his grandmother’s living room, listening to her play the piano. Those early moments in his life planted a seed of love for music that grew over time. At age 5 he asked his parents to buy him a guitar, and in the years since he has learned how to play multiple instruments and create music of his own.
Midway through high school, Spencer was introduced to rap by some friends who were freestyling during their lunch breaks. It opened up a whole new world of possibility for him – combining his natural ability as a musician with his talent for writing rapid-fire lyrics that strike a chord with anyone who listens. As he showcased his talent to his classmates, one friend hyped him up and called out the nickname $pender. It stuck, and today $pender is on the fast-track to becoming one of the world’s hottest new hip-hop icons.
Fans can get a taste of his newest music with the single “Audemars,” which just dropped across all digital streaming platforms. Featuring Lil Cobaine, the song uses the Audemars Piguet watch as a metaphor for the finer things in life. $pender said in addition to being a song that people can just chill to and enjoy as a good piece of music, it’s also a song that taps into the core of what he wants to be known for, which is encouraging others to stay positive and chase after their dreams.
“All I really want to do is make people feel a positive vibe and connect with the music,” he said. “I make music that hits you right in the ears and is pleasing. I want to be a person that others see as someone who views everything in life from a positive viewpoint, and I want to help others put that into perspective for themselves. I want to define positive moments through music.”
$pender said the new single is the first release of many to come, leading up to a full album called “Spend Bandz” that he is working on in collaboration with fellow artist J-Bandz. Their plan is to drop singles steadily over the next few months, leading up to a big release of the full album toward the end of the year. $pender said the album with be “like no other album.”
“Every single track will have a different vibe,” he said. “One song will be Latin, another R&B, another straight rap. We’ll have some amazing features on there, like Famous Dex and Lil Cobaine. Mostly we’re going for versatility, but they’ll all be songs that sound good and are pleasing to listen to. I’m just trying to put out what comes from inside of me. I’m making my way up to the top and aspiring to achieve certain things I’ve set my mind on. I’ve always wanted to do something huge with my life, and what I want to do that’s big is in music. I’ve realized that I can reach those dreams, and I’m not gonna stop trying until I do.”

Sire Castro - My Vest

Sire Castro drops hot new track ‘My Vest’ just in time for New Year
BRONX, NY – If you were to Google the name Sire Castro, you’d likely find stories about a  very controversial battle rap with another up-and-coming rapper about a decade ago that took place in New York City in front of Sean Diddy Combs and the Bad Boy staff. There’s footage all over the Internet of that battle, and Castro became an overnight name because of that one event. But he isn’t an artist who can be encapsulated in just one moment. In fact, he’s a successful musician who has been producing hit after hit for more than just the past 10 years. Like his namesake, Fidel Castro, he’s taking the music scene by storm and impacting an entire country.
Today, Sire Castro is launching a new single called “My Vest.” It’s a remake of the 1989 single “Too Hype” by the group In Touch – a song that was huge back in its day. Castro said he’s tapping into that success and using it to turn the song into a street version of the popular track.
“It’s a throw-back to a song that was hype back in the days, but I’m re-inventing it all over again,” he said. “My versatility and delivery set me apart from anyone else out there. The tone of my voice, also.  I want to be known for having a distinctive sound. Half these rappers today sound the same, but my style is different and I don’t want to sound the same as anyone else. That’s why I took the name Sire Castro – Sire means ‘You’re majesty,’ and Castro was the old king of Cuba who nobody messed with. Nobody dared to test him, and he impacted an entire country. That’s what my music is about.”
Castro said he first started being interested in rap when he was only 5 or 6 years old. His father was a DJ and loved music, and Castro grew up with that environment and influence. At age 8 he saw the classic hip-hop film “Krush Groove,” and a flame was sparked. Not long after he dominated at a fifth grade talent show with an original rap, and from that moment forward he never looked back. He credits legends such as Notorious BIG and Jay-Z for influencing much of his career, and he prides himself in paying homage to the styles of the old-school rappers and bridging the gap from those legends to the modern-day sounds that are popular across the country.
Over the course of his career he has dropped hits such as “Gem Em Cash,” “A Week Ago,” and “18 Wheeler.” He has also collaborated with some big name sin the game, including: Jadakiss, Styles P, Queen Patra, AZ, French Montana, Cory Gunz, and RIP Stack Bundles. He has performed on the notorious SOB’s stage in New York, and has toured in other states such as California, Miami, North Carolina, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Atlanta.
This South Bronx lyrical assassin said he plans to continue his streak of hits with “My Vest,” and aims to use the success of that single as momentum going into the album he’s currently working on and which will release mid-year 2019.
