ISO-O - Make It

ISO-O - Make It

R&B anthem ‘Make It’ from ISO-O serves as perfect vibe for the Fall

TORONTO, ONTARIO – ISO-O is about to make it big in the music industry with his latest hit single “Make It.” Currently available across all streaming platforms, “Make It” is the perfect R&B vibe for the Fall. Soft, melodic, and inspired by the ambitions of a dreamer, this single not only relates to all those in the world who have ever longed for something but also serve as a kind of anthem for those who finally realize their dreams.

“Yes, it’s a song about making it in the music industry but more than that, it’s a story of how far I’ve come over the years and getting to a place where I really can say that I’ve made it,” ISO-O said. “I’ve been through a lot just to be able to say that, and this song is that vibe that captures that triumphant feeling.”

ISO-O said his unique sound and style could best be described as melodic trap. He said his versatility is the best trademark of his signature style, boasting that he has “a thousand flows” that he can pull off with any and every beat from any genre imaginable.

“If there’s a soft R&B beat or a hard Trap beat, I can still use my unique flows,” he said. “I’ve got so many melodic flows – new flows with new melodies or old school flows. More than anything, I want my music to be known as fire. If you see an ISO-O song, you know it’s gonna be heat. And when it comes to most songs, I try to aim for anthems – those huge tracks where crowds of people are screaming and yelling. I’m very good at making good hooks with catchy, melodic choruses that get stuck in your head but you love it.”

Part of what makes ISO-O so great is his dedication to his craft. He is constantly working on new rhymes and writing new flows, which is illustrated on the cover art for his new single by featuring a trashcan filled to overflowing with wadded up paper balls.

“I wanted to capture the idea of perfection because that’s what I want for my music,” he said. “I’m constantly revising and trying again and again until that perfect idea is crafted. I’m like that superstar basketball player who always gets an isolation play and puts defenders on an island because he can always beat them one-on-one. I feel like I’m an isolator. Not only have I felt isolated and alone in my life doing my own thing and chasing what I believe in. But if I were to put you on an island when it comes to music, it’s over.”

ISO-O said “Make It” has been making waves in the music industry for much of 2020 with tons of plays across all streaming platforms. He said he’s looking forward to giving fans new music in early 2021, as well.

Hollowed B. - K. O.

Hollowed B. - K. O.

Hyped up anthem ‘K.O.’ helps put NY artist Hollowed B. on the map

BUFFALO, NY – Picture the next heavyweight champion of the world walking out to the ring for his next big bout. There’s a song playing in the arena as he walks down the aisle. It gets him hyped up. It gets you hyped up. It gets the entire auditorium hyped up.

That song could be the new single from New York artist Hollowed B. called “K.O.” Filled with energy and superfast flow, the song is the latest from this fast-rising artist whose unique sound and style is lighting up the music industry all along the East Coast. It’s a song that perfectly represents who he wants to be as an artist, embracing both a versatility and an attention to detail that when combined makes him a truly standout superstar.

“You’ll get three different styles throughout the whole song which I think shows I’m truly adaptive to any sound,” Hollowed B said. “I’ve got multiple styles that I use frequently. From the wordplay to the tempo to the speed to the lyrics, you’ll be able to tell it’s me as soon as you hear the first note.”

Repping what he calls a dual citizenship in the 716 to the two cities he calls home – Buffalo and Dunkirk – Hollowed B. has a very unique sound that finds its influences in artists such as BustaRhymes, Kendric Lamar, Tek-9, Tupac, and Biggie. There’s also a Twista kind of a speed to his flow, and a 2Chainz or Snoop Dogg smooth flow on some other singles.

“My music is real, bluntly honest and 100 percent mine,” he said. “I work hard in the studio and usually everything is produced, mixed and mastered by me. I write a lot of songs across all genres and I just want to be known for creating great music – timeless, long-lasting music. That’s what I want my name to be known for. I want to create something close to perfection in music because to me it’s more than just music. There’s a message in every one of my songs.”

Following the success of “K.O.,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms, Hollowed B. said he’s planning on dropping a new single every month which is something he’s been doing for the past five or six months. Along the way, he’s been on the Coast2Coast Mixtape Tour and recorded close to 1,000 songs.

Morgan Mowinski & A2 - Rainy Days

Morgan Mowinski & A2 - Rainy Days

R&B and Pop pair with future-sounding production on new EP from Morgan Mowinski and A2

FLINT, MI – A new EP from Michigan R&B artist Morgan Mowinski and producer A2 perfectly captures the ethereal feeling of 2020 and the liminal space in which so many people find themselves during this time of “Temporary Isolation.” With an otherworldly blend of A2’s distinct style and Mowinski’s truly original vocals, “Temporary Isolation” is the kind of groundbreaking project that will have fans all over the world begging for more.

The debut single from the project is a song called “Rainy Days.” The definitive R&B feel of the track showcases a Pop-infused vocal from Mowinski that has an ethereal quality that soars over the top of the synthesized 808s. With interchangeable syncopated rhythms and sultry vocals, the song offers a light and airy groove that makes anyone listening want to sway and immediately puts them in a mellow mood.

“All of the songs on the EP were put together during quarantine and collaborated on from a distance,” Mowinski said. “It’s a unique project that can’t be duplicated with its original style. Essentially, we’re exploring what it’s like to be in quarantine and the experiences we had during that time. And through that we want to relate it to everyone else’s experience this year.”

The two artists have known each other for the past couple of years and have had the opportunity to work on other projects together. But Mowinski said this EP is the most in-depth collaboration they’ve had and as such, it required a great deal of back-and-forth communication and attention to detail. A2 would create loops or new beats and send them to Mowinski who would write and send back her own ideas. Through that unorthodox collaboration, the two were able to create something that’s truly unlike anything that has ever come before.

“I feel that we do have a very different sound, though it’s kind of hard to explain,” Mowinski said. “I’m an R&B and Pop artist but I have a different way of going over a beat than other people would, I think. I’m very personal and open with music. Whatever I’m feeling, it’s 150 percent in the song. You know how I feel or what I was feeling at the time I wrote it. I’m very vulnerable with the music and I want to connect with people that way. Connecting and bringing people closer together is 100 percent what I want to do. When you hear one of my songs, I want you to be able to relate to it. That’s what I did with music when I was growing up. Whether I was sad or happy or whatever, I always related to a song or some piece of music, and I want other people to feel that way, too.”

A2 also said he takes a different approach when producing, which he thinks adds another layer of originality to their combined sound.

“Every song I do, I always stack four parts – kind of like the Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass – across everything,” he said. “It could be instruments or vocals or whatever. That makes the sound more full and helps to create that kind of pyramid of sound. Then I build everything from that foundation. I like futuristic, space-sounding music, but I like to make it sound different than anybody else’s music today. And with drums I also go for a newer sound and try to use more synthesizers or truck leads. ‘Temporary Isolation’ is a great example.”

As Mowinski and A2 continue to ride the wave of success from their new EP and the debut single, they’re also already working on a new song that should come out in December or January.

Ric-a-Sha - Black Latina

Ric-a-Sha - Black Latina

Ric-a-Sha taps into ‘street spiritual’ sound with new single ‘Black Latina’

TAMPA BAY, FL – Ricardo “Ric-a-Sha” Stuvaints is an artist who has risen from the depths of one of the darkest cities in the U.S. and overcome multiple near-death experiences to become one of the industry’s most promising young entertainers. Originally from McKeesport, Pennsylvania – dubbed the fourth most dangerous city in the nation – Ric-a-Sha has lived a life most only read about in stories. He literally dodged bullets as a teenager on multiple occasions before eventually getting shot five times in 2016. And though music was always a mainstay of his life, the shooting in 2016 changed everything for him and convinced him to change his life. He turned to music as a career, and hasn’t looked back since.

“I come from a rough background and I was not always living the right life. But when I got shot, it changed everything for me,” Ric-a-Sha said. “When I got discharged from the hospital, I was basically homeless, and if I had gone back to being homeless in that condition, it would have been crazy. I would have died. But a man who I consider to be one of the best men on earth, Mr. G, was there when I woke up and he saved my life. He paid for my flight to go to Dallas and he helped me realize my career as a musician. That’s when I did the ‘Youngin Thuggin’ video, and everything kind of fell into place after that.”

Eventually, Ric-a-Sha would make his way to Florida where he’s been writing and recording music ever since. His latest single, “Black Latina,” has been making waves throughout the industry since its release last month across all streaming platforms. Showcasing his vocal range and one-of-a-kind flow, “Black Latina” is the kind of sultry song with which every man in the world can connect.

“It’s a love story about this beautiful Dominican girl,” Ric-a-Sha said. “When I was 19-years-old, I was in a relationship with a Dominican girl from the Polo Grounds. We went on a few dates and on one particular date, I just really felt like I wanted to be with her. She was something else and it was an awesome experience for me. Every man has a woman like that in his life, and she was the motivation behind this song for me.”

Ric-a-Sha said the song demonstrates a unique sound and style that he calls “street spiritual.” It’s a signature style that he hopes to become known for as he continues to spread his music around the world. Since his awakening following the shooting in 2016, Ric-a-Sha has committed himself not only to becoming a better man but also to giving back to his community. While he was in Dallas, he worked at Soul For Christ Ministries and has continued to volunteer at various nonprofit organizations and ministries.

“I’ve basically been going through six years of change, but most of it over the past four years since I was shot,” he said. “Over that time, I’ve embraced this idea of “street spiritual”. That’s my mantra. It’s my motivation. And it’s my movement. That’s what I’m all about, and that’s what I want my music to be about, too.”

Byzantine - ILL

Byzantine - ILL

Saints of the Byzantine Era drop timely wisdom through counter-cultural message on new single ‘ILL’

BALTIMORE, MD & PHILADELPHIA, PA – Byzantine is a new edgy Hip Hop group from Baltimore and Philadelphia whose music represents a light in a dark period. Adopting monikers of Saints of the Byzantine Era, these masterful artists use cautionary tales, songs of hope and good vibes paired with grit from the streets to offer a refreshing aura to the world of Hip Hop.

The six artists who make up the group are St. Basil, St Justinian, St Percinnius, St. Leo, St. Phocas and St. Zeno.  Together they’re introducing their unique sound and style to the world with their single “ILL” which features another artist named St. Justinian. Originally introduced to the group as an idea from St Justinian, the song offers a platform upon which each of the artists is able to spit some hot lyrics and showcase their individual styles while also offering a timely message to the world.

“Each of us individually has a different sound,” St. Leo said. “I’m more laid back, while St. Zeno and St. Phocas are more animated than myself. When we come together, we blend well together. No one else out there has that type of bond when they rap. Most groups you see today will have one artist carrying the rest of the group, but we’re all carrying each other and we all bring that same level of talent to the table.”

The idea behind the Byzantine brand was first formulated by a mutual mentor of the artists. They’ve all rapped separately and worked on individual music careers while also rubbing shoulders through collaborations and through family affiliations. When their mentor suggested the idea of forming a group with the Byzantine mission behind it, they each began to gravitate toward one another.

“There was an immediate natural chemistry,” St. Basil said. “As we talked about this idea of the Byzantine Era and taking the names of these saints – who represented things that an intellectually and socially unenlightened world needed to hear – we realized that we’re in the same type of time now. When we rap, we’re rapping the opposite of what the world sees or thinks. We flip things right side up through our music.”

According to St. Phocas, the big picture for the group is creating music that is thought-provoking, aggressively challenging, and inspiring through its personal and sometimes convicting messages.

“We want people to understand we’re not talking about the same things everybody else is talking about,” St. Phocas said. “We’re not degrading our women or our brothers and sisters like a lot of other Hip Hop artists do today. We’re making songs that sound good and also have a deeper message.”

Their unique sound and style has definitely put them on the map within the music industry. Their music has been featured on regular rotation with Sway in the Morning, and it has also been featured on Air It Out Radio. With more music in the works following the success of “ILL,” Byzantine is sure to become one of Hip Hop’s most motivational and long-lasting groups.

ADIHA - The Boogeyman

ADIHA - The Boogeyman

International artist and author ADIHA examines forbidden love with unique story-song concept for “The Burning One”

HOUSTON, TX – An alluring story of forbidden love between a young woman and a mysterious dark figure takes shape in the first installment of “The Burning One” series, created by exotic and mysterious artist ADIHA.  Weaving this unique story through multiple mediums—from a book to film to animations to music—ADIHA explores the attraction to misunderstood darkness, personified in her story as a jinn-being. Jinn are more commonly known in Western culture as genies. We are all too familiar with the lovable “Genie” from Aladdin, but in contrast, ADIHA’s jinn character is a byproduct of haunting folklore, allowing her interpretation of jinn to have a darker, more mysterious connotation.  Stories suggest that jinn are a different kind of being made from “smokeless fire,” and that these amorphous entities live amongst us, probably in some inter-dimensional plane.

“’The Burning One’ tells the tale of a human girl who forms a relationship with a male jinn – a being made from fire,” ADIHA confirms. “It’s a concept that I’ve worked on for many years, and I was inspired by this idea since childhood.  We would tell our own scary ‘jinn’ stories, which to me, were much scarier than ghost stories.  Jinn are beings too, understood from religious text and from literature like The Arabian Nights.  And I think that’s the most interesting part of it for me, that they coexist with humans but are separated by interdimensional boundaries.  Many people do not like to talk about jinn because they’re afraid the interest will attract them into our world.  I’ve gotten more than a few angry stares from adults when I was a child, asking them more about the topic of my intrigue.  I’m trying to use something with a basis in history, religion, and folklore to create an interesting, and albeit probably taboo, fictional story.”

That story unfolds in multiple ways in a multimedia approach with an initial release of five songs – the first of which is a new song called “The Boogeyman” that was released on Halloween weekend. ADIHA will continue the story every other week with new single releases on Fridays. And each single will be accompanied by a tantalizing excerpt of the story. “The Boogeyman” is an introduction to the story, setting the stage for the rest of the series. The young girl encounters the jinn as a child. He scares her by showing up in her room while she’s sleeping and threatening to “bite her toes off.”  However, at the same time he charms her “like Michelangelo at his rough marble slab” by making her daydreams come to life from the “as-yet unhewn reality.” It’s the first step in what will become a complicated inter-dimensional relationship, ADIHA said – one that will ultimately reach its climax with the last single in this installment, “Quantum Entanglement.”

“With ‘The Boogeyman’ I wanted to have more of a Middle Eastern vibe to pay homage to the historical roots of the jinn concept,” ADIHA said. “You can hear the drums and the background music that have kind of an Arabic feel to it, and even in the music video, you’ll see me wearing some traditional clothing. But every song in this story will have its own sound. The next song that comes out on Friday the 13th will be haunting and more classical, while ‘Quantum Entanglement’ will be more atmospheric and dreamy. But all of them will fall into that darker place because that’s the tone that fits my story.  The dark is often considered ugly, but sometimes the most beautiful things can come from the dark.  I’ve learned this from my own life.  It’s okay to appreciate the dark.”

ADIHA is no stranger to music, having trained professionally as a vocalist, she focused on classical pieces and opera in her previous years.  Her dad is a guitarist and had his own band in his younger years in Pakistan called The Sound of the Silhouettes, accounting for much of ADIHA’s inherited love of music.  Though she has always had a love for music, she’s spent much of the previous decade going to dental school and practicing as a dentist. But 2020 brought major changes in her life and inspired her to get back in touch with her passion for music and storytelling. She’s spent much of her life creating the world of “The Burning One”, she’s spent much of this year bringing this world to life, and she’s excited now to share the “multiverse” of storytelling with audiences far and wide.

Midwest Diplomat - They Don't Know About Us

Midwest Diplomat - They Don't Know About Us

Midwest Diplomat is all about originality, identity and a gnarly vibe in his new release ‘They Don’t Know About Us’

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – A musician who is all about expressing his identity and being true to himself, Midwest Diplomat is a man of many experiences. His latest single “They Don’t Know About Us,” featuring Caitlynn Fox and Tyler Harris, discusses some of his experiences as a college fraternity member, detailing it in a way that is both relatable and easy to listen to.

Midwest Diplomat’s journey began through music based therapy. “Originally music was therapy for me. By the time I hit high school, I was dealing with some issues related to my schizophrenia, which I hadn’t been diagnosed with yet. It became very therapeutic for me even though much of what I was doing at the time was just playing follow-the-leader. When I got to college, I started to pick up on it, though, as a way to connect with people. It’s really just continued from there.”

A man of many talents, Midwest Diplomat has a wide range as a musician. His current music has influences from genres such as Pop-Rap, Party-Rap, Rock-Rap, Pop, Electronic, Country, R&B, Polka, Funk, Alternative and Trap music. Despite this, he doesn’t go by any direct label as a musician. “To put it simply, my music is gnarly, diplomatic and original. There is more than one side to me as a person and I think that’s important to be aware of. Of course I enjoy the fun, party lifestyle, but I also want that happily-ever-after. Similarly, I like to connect my music to different genres and ideas and bring them together into one.”

“They Don’t Know About Us” is a song that brings together Midwest Diplomat’s past and future. The track talks about how people would see him as a college student and how he has grown from that. “In the beginning, the song was about my fraternity and my life as a part of it. I realized pretty quickly though, that it was much more than that especially now, because my fraternity has grown so much in their own right. We keep finding more people to help us grow and break the mold, and I think that relates to the song really well.”

This song features both a singer and saxophone player from the Indiana based band called The Indigos. Bringing them into the project helped Midwest Diplomat create his vision with “They Don’t Know About Us,” and continues to help further his point of growth, community and identity.

Keep an eye out for more to come from Midwest Diplomat as he is gearing up to a possible new album to come out sometime within the year and is looking to set up a tour in the near future. Until then, you can find him in the Indianapolis area, cultivating their music scene and working on his graduate degree.

Shaudy Prince - Stash Spot

Shaudy Prince promotes his Royal Ratchet sound with the new wave ‘Disgusta’

AUGUSTA, GA – Rashad L Jacobs – known professionally as Shaudy Prince – is a Jamaican-American rapper, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur from the outskirts of the Southside of Augusta, Georgia, better known as “Uptown.” Prince is the flagship recording artist to represent the most irrefutable and indisputable independent record label Hood Royalty Empire. His latest EP, “Crabs in a Bucket” featuring the hot track “Disgusta,” proves that the quality of his music is among the best in the industry and as such demands attention from fans all over the world.

“I’ve created my own sound within the Rap genre that I call Royal Ratchet,” Prince said. “I’m playing off that hood royalty vibe. You get the dichotomy of Royal Ratchet from me because I am them both. My mindset has always been royalty, but ratchet is what I’ve been around my whole life. So you still get the raw, uncut, bottles-poppin, let’s-get-money music from me because that’s been a part of my environment. I’m not completely clean but I am a prince.”

Hood Royalty Empire is the platform upon which Prince showcases his innovative Rap style which has been captivating a wave of fans across the U.S. since he began in 2017. Growing in scope and depth with each new release, Prince has been perfecting his Royal Ratchet sound across a string of successful releases. His style builds a crowd’s interest with emotion to the point where fans all over the world are demanding more recordings, performances, and playlist spots from this fast-rising artist.

On “Disgusta,” Prince shows off his overtone and gritty flow. Inspired by the sub-culture of Augusta, Georgia, his rebuttal is a critical take on the fake lifestyle that so many in the area present to the rest of the world.

“I’m disgusted with where I’m from just like all the other people who call it Disgusta,” Prince said. “I see the mindsets and the energy of that place and it disgusts me. But I’m gonna take this name that’s so negative and make it into a positive by attaching it to my brand to shine some kind of positive light on where I’m from. I’m telling a story with my mind, and I just want to put my mark on the world. I want to be known for ownership. I built this from the ground up and yet I can’t seem to even get a pat on the back from my community. But once people see the growth and the evolution of my sound, they’ll see that I did it. And then all those people who doubted me and looked down on me will see that the work paid off, and if they had stayed by my side, they would have been able to reap the fruits of that labor, too.”

“Disgusta” is just one of many projects that Prince said shows just how much his music is “built off a passion.” And it’s just the first of many more to come!

BraeSteez - Need to Know

BraeSteez - Need to Know

Original sound from East Coast artist BraeSteez takes center stage with new single ‘Need To Know’

WOODBRIDGE, VA – Don’t move too fast, it might mess up your flow. And watch out for BraeSteez because he’s about to blow. This young up-and-coming artist from the East Coast is set to become the next big name in music, and his forthcoming single “Need To Know” is proof that he has skills that demand attention. Tapping into that lyrical Jazz vibe for which Hip Hop was originally known, BraeSteez brings a cool vibe that pairs smooth lyrical delivery alongside sexy saxophones on the back of the beat for a truly original sound.

His talent as a lyricist is perhaps what people will notice first. His witty wordplay is a display for his self-described “different personality.” It’s a characteristic that he said he’s proud of and knows is the thing that helps to set him apart from others in the industry.

“A lot of other artists today are honing in on only one thing and speaking of themselves,” BraeSteez said. “I have an ability to reach people with my voice. I’m not playing for a crowd or just trying to make something that people will think is cool. I’m not limiting myself to the songs that you hear at the club – the ones that you play and have fun and go home and forget. I feel like I can reach people’s souls and minds with my music. And at the end of the day, I want my music to be known for helping people by opening their minds and giving them confidence.”

“Need To Know” is the first of 38 songs BraeSteez said he plans to drop over the next year. He admits that 38 is a lot of music to release in one year, but he said the inspiration for that strategy came from Chris Brown who has dropped nearly 50 songs over the past year.

“I want to show people I’m a hard worker and I’m coming into the game strong,” he said. “I want to let people know I’m here to work, and I love to make music and I have plenty of lyrics to share with the world. I can freestyle, but I can also write and mostly I can make great music with instrumentals and production. I love everything about music.”

BraeSteez first got his start with music when he was 7 years old. He loved Lil Wayne and Eminem and would mimic them in his bedroom, perfecting the art of the flow. As he grew older, he studied other artists such as G-Unit, Jay-Z, Big Pimpin, J.Cole, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. However, one of his biggest inspirations is Tory Lanez because he gave him the confidence to sing and rap and always follow his dreams and purpose in life.

At age 18, he started recording music and with each studio session, he would develop his signature sound a little bit more. Eventually, he created such a buzz that he was invited to have meetings with representatives at Atlantic Records and Rock Nation. Though he had yet to sign with any label, he’s hopeful that the singles he has planned for this next year will land him that big deal.

Polishaxe0 - Haters

Autistic artist PolishAxe0 uses platform to inspire others with new single ‘Haters’

MACUNGIE, PA – Brandon Gehr has been the unfortunate victim of a lot of hate in his life. At 22 years old, this young autistic artist from Pennsylvania has had to navigate some difficult relationships during his life, and music has long been an outlet for his jumbled up emotions.

He’s letting those emotions out and pushing back against all those haters with his new single “Haters,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms. He said it’s a song that he hopes will inspire others to fight back against bullying and hate, and provide a little bit of a self-esteem boost along the way.

“No matter what somebody tells you that you can’t do, if you know in your heart that you can then you should do it,” Gehr said. “That’s why I use the name PolishAxe0. I’m Polish and the axe is the symbol of my life because it represents strength. No matter what I’ve been through, I know I’m strong and can push through it. The zero means I don’t care what anyone thinks of me. I’ll always be myself and rap about things I think will connect with other people. With that kind of mentality, I can’t be hurt. One of my lines in the song says, ‘My axe is my armor. Nobody can harm her or disarm her or charm her. The strength in my life is to keep going.’ So basically it’s a song that says nobody will ever bring me down, no matter what they say. And I hope it inspires other people to chase their dreams. If someone is feeling down, I want this song to uplift them and make them feel positive.”

PolishAxe0 said he started rapping only a few months ago, though music has been a major part of his life for as long as he can remember. He said he wants to be known as an inspirational rapper who writes songs about getting through anxiety, depression, anti-bullying, autism, and other personal issues.

“I have been through them all,” he said. “I want to reach the hearts of millions and for them to truly understand my music in the most personal way possible. I have put my heart, soul and money into music, and I will not stop until I touch a lot of people’s hearts. My biggest goal is to change people’s lives in the most positive ways.”

PolishAxe0 said “Haters” is the first of many singles to come and that he’s working on an album that should be released in early 2021. Two other singles from the album could drop before the end of the year, he said.

Markali Mac - Born

Markali Mac - Born

Markali Mac offers fresh perspective on the state of the world with new album ‘Fish Don’t Belong In Tanks’

ARLINGTON, TX – Independent artist and songwriter Markali Mac offers the world a piece of his soul with his new album “Fish Don’t Belong in Tanks.” Inspired by the upsets and downs of my life this year and in the past as well., the album offers listeners Markali’s unique viewpoint on things from Black Lives Matter to Covid to various experiences throughout the year that have challenged many people to grow or get left behind. Those messages are told alongside an old school sound with a new school vibe for something that’s sonically different than anything else in the industry today.

“My flow is different and my approach to music is real creative in how I ride the beat,” Markali said. “Not every song is gonna sound the same. There’s Trap on this album, and Rap, and Rock, and Pop – whatever your style is, I have something for you. The title and concept for the album came from a book I read while I was incarcerated. Basically, the question that it presented was: What’s better for a fish, to live protected and safe in a tank or to live at risk to all the dangers of the wild? I’m a Pisces which is the sign of the fish, and we don’t belong in jail. So this album is about me breaking free from an old mindset and giving the world a piece of me. And if I can overcome things – like anxiety and depression – then others can do the same.”

The album features 24 original singles with a deluxe version of the album to follow shortly thereafter, with four new tracks and one extended version. The non-deluxe version is now available across all streaming platforms. Markali said a lot of the sounds on the project were inspired by some of his favorite artists such as J.Cole or Kanye West. Listeners will be able to recognize those influences across both the chill songs and the more hype and upbeat tracks.

The debut single from the project is “Born” which has already been streaming in wide release for the past two weeks and has tens of thousands of plays on Spotify. It’s the first track on the album and as such “starts off everything from the jump,” Markali said.

“I think it shows people right off the bat that I’m something different, which is what I want my music to be known for,” he said. “I want to be motivational. When people hear it, I want them to feel like its eye-opening and deep. I’m always gonna be true and be myself. However I see it, that’s how I’m gonna say it, and when people hear it, they might benefit from it. But that doesn’t mean I create music that’s limiting. I think there’s something everybody should be able to listen to on this album because of its universal message that’s needed in these times.”

Sleazy Edd - Move Ya Body

Sleazy Edd shows passion for fashion to mirror his mind for rhyme

DALLAS, TX – Sleazy Edd is a name many would associate with a man of God who credits his success at such an early age to his Creator’s faithfulness in his life. It is also known to be a name that would immediately bring to mind an entertainer with a progressive sense of fashion and an eye for aesthetics that are big and bold. His faith in God and his adventurous sense of fashion are key pillars of this rising young talent out of Dallas, Texas. And in many ways, his music is much like his sense of personal style – luxurious and “big.”

That’s the word most people use when they’re talking about Sleazy Edd … BIG. Not only is he physically imposing but his joy of life and his sense of fashion make him one of those guys who literally owns whatever room he walks into. He’s loud and proud and bright and dressed to his fly-ist. He has a passion for fashion and a mind for the rhyme.

“My signature is gonna stand out,” he said. “It’s gonna pop. That’s because I’m usually wearing a wild outfit with a lot of colors and I draw a lot of attention. And then when you start to listen to my bars and lyrics and hear that I’m using a lot of metaphors, you’ll see that I have some real talent. A lot of rappers today are just rhyming and don’t make sense, but I change things up and mix different vibes and use a lot of metaphors and similes in my lyrics. I guarantee if you’re in the car and hear my music, or you’re hanging out and one of my songs comes on, I’ll take the odds that you know I am good.”

His skill is put on full display on his debut album “Overseas Luxury” which is available across all streaming platforms. It features 15 tracks that he says are perfect for getting “turnt up.”

“I want to get ‘em rowdy with this album,” he said. “I’m talking mosh pit type of concerts. It’s definitely the kind of music you can play the clubs or at parties and everybody’s gonna turn up and go crazy.”

“Overseas Luxury” Edd said represents his brand as a whole. It’s a name that he hopes encapsulates the luxurious lifestyle of overseas clothing and an international appeal of his music. He said his love for that lifestyle was instilled in him at a young age by his mother who was also super fashionable. Family is extremely important to Edd and often, that sense of family extends to his closest friends – such as photographer and videographer Khed who has worked closely with him recently to help cultivate his unique image. Edd’s brother was also a part of the photographer/videographer work.

Edd said he was relatively young when he first discovered Hip Hop. As he began to pay attention to some of the major players in the game, he said he was drawn to those who embraced fashion and used it as an extension of their artistic expression. Wiz Khalifa in particular has always been his favorite artist, and one of his all-time favorite songs is Khalifa’s “The Sleaze.” It was that song, in fact, that inspired him to adopt the moniker Sleazy Edd.

But his music isn’t must like Khalifa’s. In fact, most people would probably liken him to Young Thug – with the different clothes and flows and sense of style. But even then it would be a pale comparison as Sleazy Edd is, if nothing else, his own unique personality. There is no comparison that encapsulates this truly original persona that is put on full display through his brash demeanor and one-of-a-kind sound. And as such, his music cannot be denied.

Astro - Better Days

Astro - Better Days

Melodic rapper Astro releases seven-song EP that’s perfect for the times

INDIANAPLIS, IN – A wide variety of styles and flows come to the forefront on the new EP from up-and-coming Midwest rapper Astro. The seven songs on his latest project “What I’m Missing” take a different approach to the liminal space in which most of the world finds itself during the global pandemic. As people wait and see what’s gonna come next, the mounting sense of anxiety and apprehension can sometimes be overwhelming. Astro taps into that tension and offers a different perspective.

“The basic concept of the EP is me explaining a story to a woman and telling her all the problems going on around the world right now,” Astro said. “I’m asking her what I’m missing and she’s telling me to pay attention to her. The overall vibe is all over the place – there are a couple of love songs, a couple of hype songs, and a lot of other vibes in between. But I think that’s what sets me apart from anyone else, that I have so many different types of styles and flows. I can go to multiple varieties of flow. There all kinds of different styles I can go through.”

Astro has been an artist for as long as he can remember. He first got involved with music at age 4 though as he grew older, he focused more of his attention on athletics. It wasn’t until an injury derailed his athletic aspirations a few years ago that he turned his full focus on music. His brother, who is also a musician, invited him to New York to work on a song together, and that process solidified his determination to make music his career. That experience also served as the inspiration for his stage name which he said originated as a lyric in the song he worked on with his brother but has grown to mean something so much more today.

“To me, it means to shoot for the stars and reach as high as I can,” he said. “I hope my music is known to help people. I know that there are a lot of people who go through things and don’t talk about it because they don’t know how to express themselves. I’ve been through a lot myself that I haven’t talked about, but music has always been a way for me to express myself. So my main goal is to help people and inspire people to be great through my music.”

Astro said following the release of this EP, he plans on dropping more singles later this year, as well as another EP.

Lordzamel - Get Them Bandz

Lordzamel - Get Them Bandz

Lordzamel helps world overcome pains while embracing joys of life on new album ‘Fixed Tape’

NEW YORK, NY – Lordzamel Brooks has a unique capacity to identify with pain and the problems of people all over the world. His story is one filled with pain and disappointments, but also achievements and triumphs. And those highs and lows find their way into his music in ways that connect with fans all over the world.

This is especially true of his latest album “Fixed Tape.” The album is a reinvention of his first album “Hatter Minute,” released in 2005 during a year when he was dealing with extreme kidney failure. It was a project born from the pain – both literal and figurative – he was going through at the time. “Fixed Tape,” by comparison, is a reimagining of those songs 15 years later during a time when he’s enjoying the best health he’s ever had. As such, the album encapsulates the simultaneous highs and lows he felt when he was finally given a kidney transplant after 14 years on a waiting list. He said the songs on the project were written in response to his joy at receiving a kidney, but also from his frustration at having been passed over for so many years and forced to stay on dialysis. He said that exploration of pleasure and pain is something that’s still relevant today and as such, he’s created a reprise to the album and re-released it in 2020 – a year in which many people around the world are experiencing similar emotions.

“It’s lyrical and hot,” Lordzamel said of the album. “I’ve been through a great deal in my life, and so have a lot of other people out there. I’ve come through it by exploring a lot of different sides of my life. I’m an entrepreneur and a fashionista and most of all, I want to be known for being one of the greatest emcees to ever touch the mic. When people hear my music I want them to say, ‘That’s Lord’s shit! Turn that up!’”

Lordzamel was born in Brooklyn and grew up both there and in Harlem. His parents were musicians and left an early mark on his life when it came to expressing oneself through art. He was also heavily influenced by the thriving music scene in Harlem, and to this day credits his unique sound and style to some of the artists he listened to while growing up. It was at Camp Mariah Carey during his teenage years that he discovered his love and knack for rapping, and in the years since he’s perfected the art of witty wordplay alongside catchy vibes. At 18, he was signed by a major record label, but at age 22, his kidney gave way and over the next 14 years he struggled with health issues. Just when he was turning 36 and giving up on his life, he got a new kidney – three days before his birthday. He made a song called “Hatter Minute” almost immediately after that, which landed on the radio show Jessy Jess 91.9 Hip Hop Hour and everything began to take off from there.

“Sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul needs,” he said. “I think my first two singles – which are separate from ‘Fixed Tape’ – will show people exactly what that means. With ‘Everything Glossy’, I’m motivating people to shine bright. It’s about everything noticeable and seen and flamboyant. It’s a hot song and the lyrical content is crazy. Then with ‘Get Them Bandz’, I’m telling people to go get their money. Stop complaining. Too many people are making more excuses than they are making money. This is America. Stop saying that the white man is keeping you down. This is the land of opportunity for everybody. It’s my favorite song on the album and I love how much it pushes you and gets people hyped.”

Both of Lordzamel’s singles “Everything Glossy” and “Get Them Bandz” are currently available across all streaming platforms.

Rich Chambers - It’s Christmas Time (All Over the World)

Rich Chambers - It’s Christmas Time (All Over the World)

Rich Chambers drops new album ‘Santa’s Rockin’ Band’ just in time for the Christmas Season

VANCOUVER, CANADA – The garage Rock sound of the 60s meets a modern-day Rock style on a new Christmas album from Canadian artist Rich Chambers. Released on October 30, “Santa’s Rockin’ Band” is a true Rock n’ Roll ride through some of the Christmas season’s most beloved and timeless classics. Featuring guitar-driven Blues riffs packaged together with some refreshingly rougher edges, these songs are sure to make it onto Christmas playlists all over the world. In fact, hundreds of thousands have already played the first single from the album, which was released last year. It’s called “It’s Christmas Time (All Over the World)” and contains a catchy hook that paints a colorful picture of some of the stereotypical images of the Christmas season.

“Ultimately, it’s a song about the innocence of children,” Chambers said. “That’s what we should all grab a hold of when we think about Christmas. So, I wanted to use imageries that we are all familiar with from when we were kids – like advent calendars, scenes from ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ Christmas trees and lights, and other things like that – to paint a picture of Christmas. I also put this same kind of sensibility in the song’s animated video, which features Santa Claus and a little girl who strongly believes in him and the spirit of Christmas. Essentially, no matter who you are or where you come from, Christmas is about the innocence of a child and the fun of the season, and that’s the sentiment that drives the song.”

One of the things that Chambers has discovered about his unique sound and style over the years is that he doesn’t fit into any one box. He’s been making music professionally for the better part of two decades with success all over the world from many of his singles. But unlike many of his contemporaries, he tends to go against the norm and push boundaries with his style of Rock. Though he stays true to the roots of Blues and Classic Rock, he often incorporates more modern elements so as to offer a more progressive and intriguing sound.

“I really do sit in the middle of so many different genres,” Chambers said. “Other artists that are often described this way are Creedence Clearwater Revival or Tom Petty. Their sounds are similar to mine in that they are primarily guitar-driven with Retro and Country hints sprinkled throughout. I also definitely bring that garage band and Indie vibe feel to my music. I guess you could say I am a ‘jack of all trades,’ although I really prefer to look at myself as just a guy that people can relate to who writes and sings songs that are familiar sounding to them about things that resonate with them. I’m unique but not unique. I’m familiar but I’m also intriguing and new.”

Another single from the album that’s one of the early frontrunners for major global attention is a song called “Snow Miser vs. Heat Miser.” It’s a cover from the popular 1974 stop animation Christmas special, “The Year Without a Santa Claus,” that features the show’s two Miser brothers who are constantly fighting with each other to make Christmas snowy or sunny. The song itself has a kind of dueling feel, with both characters coming forward in the song to sing and verbally fight each other. In the end, Chambers said it’s a fun song that audiences of all ages can love.

“My main goal is to make this album as accessible to an 80-year-old as it is to an 8-year-old,” he said. “It’s a true Rock n’ Roll album, but with a very innocent feel.”

JoeLew - Verified

JoeLew – Verified

One of the hottest rappers in Atlanta is proving his skills to the world with his latest hit single ‘Verified’

ATLANTA, GA – It’s official … Atlanta artist JoeLew is “Verified!”

This Hip Hop artist from the South has been making waves in the music industry for the past few years, and his latest single “Verified” is the latest hit to rock the airwaves. Featuring his vibey, catchy sound that’s perfect for bumping when you ride in the car, “Verified” highlights the one-of-a-kind style that comes from this fast-rising young talent. It’s a song that screams “I’m certified.”

“Anything I do is top notch,” JoeLew said, “I’m solidified. That’s what this song is about. It’s up-tempo but it still has like a vibe, though. It makes you just want to get in a good mood and dance.”

JoeLew was born in Guyana, a country on South America’s North Atlantic coast, and didn’t come to the U.S. until he was nearly in his teens. He first moved to New York before eventually coming to Atlanta, and keen listeners will be able to hear that international influence in his sound. He gets a little something from everywhere he’s ever lived. Most of all, he has always had a love for rapping. He displayed that passion in high school when he and a friend were given permission by the principal to record his first song in the principal’s office. Later that year, she gave him and his friends the opportunity to perform the song in front of half the school with Hip Hop legends Lil Bankhead and Skooly also in attendance. The reaction he got from everyone made him want to keep going even further.

“When Skooly came to the school and heard me rap, he told me I was hard and I gotta keep going,” JoeLew said. “I haven’t looked and since then, I’ve done shows with multiple artists like Lil Baby, Peewee Longway, and Skooly. My vibey sound is what people talk about. It gives you goosebumps. Plus, I have the ability to continuously create catchy tunes which has gained me some loyal fans all over the world.”

JoeLew said “Verified” is one of a handful of singles that he’s been working on this year and which he plans on releasing over the next few months. His next single, “Big or Small,” is slated to drop in mid-November and features more of a smooth R&B feel. Before that, however, a music video for “Verified” is slated to drop Nov. 7.

Yung Faucet - Me (Outro)

Yung Faucet - Me (Outro)

Yung Faucet shows off high octane drippy style on new mixtape ‘Jugg & Drip’

HARRISBURG, PA – Everything about Pennsylvania artist Yung Faucet is drippy – from the way he puts his outfits together to the way he flows on beats with fly melodies and clever wordplay. That signature style is put on full display with his new mixtape “Jugg & Drip” which is currently available across all streaming platforms. It’s the second mixtape from this fast-rising young talent and already the buzz around this project is gaining him a lot of attention along the East Coast.

“It’s a mixtape about hustling and getting fly,” Yung Faucet said. ‘It’s about my lifestyle and what I live for. It’s about making ends meet with fly talk. It’s real drippy with melodic flows and nice bars, and the quality is crazy. The versatility on this project is ridiculous and I think it explains me to a T and really shows the world who Faucet is.”

More than anything else, Yung Faucet is best known for his energy. When it comes to his music, his delivery is so hype that people can’t help but jump up on their feet and respond to his passion. But that’s a characteristic that’s true of every walk of his life. Yung Faucet doesn’t know how to live a quiet life, and his infectious energy is such that almost anyone who meets him is inspired and motivated. He puts a smile on people’s faces and leaves them wanting to chase their own dreams with the same kind of passion that he displays.

“I’ve got genuine energy,” he said. “It’s no gimmick. When you talk to me and I’m hype, that’s me the whole way through. And you can catch that on every track. You’re gonna listen to me and say, ‘I love this guy! He’s so cool!’”

Yung Faucet first got his start in music while in high school. His personality was such that he was voted Mr. Popularity by his senior class and was given the “Most Likely To Succeed” award. The summer after graduation, he began to really dive into music, developing his sound and style to create something truly original. That hard work paid off as the first mixtape he released gained major attention and helped him put his name on the map. Now following that up with a second mixtape, Yung Faucet said he hopes to become a household name over the course of the next year.

“I want my music to be known for being me,” he said. “This is really me. I’m telling you about all the good times and the bad times in energetic ways that will plug into people’s heads. I want people to remember me for my versatility. I’ve got nine different voices I can use, but it still sound like me. And mostly, I want to be known for my energy. That’s the best word to describe me. I am Mr. Energy. I’ve been fly my whole life and I’d like to be known for that before anything else.”
